Had a business catch up at this neat cafe, had a great menu and the coffee (the one true test of a cafe) was excellent. My guest had a hot chocolate which he said was one of the best he has enjoyed.Overall a nice place with good atmosphere

This little treasure is tucked away in Adamstown, a cool suburb in Newcastle. Off the beaten track, and oozing character, you will enjoy visiting the Fernleigh cafe! I had one of the tastiest toasted sandwiches ever, and my coffee was perfect. Expect service with a smile in this little treasure!
A small cafe on the highway with really great service, food and coffee You have to try the Filipino Breakfast. Iâm not going to say itâs the absolute best breakfast Iâve ever had but it was really nice and worth the $15. I was pleasantly surprised. Seemed unusual at first but donât knock it until youâve tried it. The large coffee was actually Large. Thanks for a memorable visit. Weâll be back.

Nice to see a traditional family Italian restaurant still open. So many have gone by the wayside. Overtaken by hipster flavour of the month places. Lena's is always good value with great food. Hope it remains open for many years.

My daughter and I went here for lunch. I was very impressed because they actually brought the drinks with the food and not 20 minutes earlier. The food (poached eggs with mushrooms & scrambled eggs) was excellent... and they actually buttered the toast! Will definitely go here again when next at Charlestown Square. Friendly service too!

This restaurant is temporarily closed.
We got there at 2.30 very keen for a burger only to be told they had stopped serving burgers as the place closed at 3. It shouldn't take over 30 mins for a burger at a takeaway store to be made...Anyway settled for fish and chips which were ok but the fish pieces were very tiny.I also had a milkshake which is possibly the worst milkshake I've ever had. Fortunately not too expensive but still, not hard to shake a milkshake,.. picture attached to see what I mean.

I have been having lunch here almost every Friday for the past nine years - I am not easy to please, so that should tell you something. The food is good, with lots of variety. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Prices are reasonable. New owners took over about a year ago but that did not change the service (some original staff still there) or the quality of the food. They always have a good range of cakes, etc.

This cafe is conveniently located on a main road in Charlestown, serving delicious barista made cappuccinos and homemade croissants and confiture. The croissant was slightly over cooked however it was delicious and went perfectly with the coffee. Both were served within minutes. The friendly staff had me feeling like a local.
Mama P's is all about real food with real flavour. With a focus on organic wholefoods, the menu is predominantly vegan, gluten free, paleo and refined sugar free. They specialise in, super tasty smoothie bowls, vegan waffles, savoury dishes, nourishing sa
Fresh wholesome food. Loads of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free. Even the fussiest eaters will love it here. Great menu, hard to decide what to get. Staff very friendly. Meals were large and filling, not enough room left to sample any of the many tasty treats and desserts on offer. â¹ï¸Canât wait to go back, next time we will share a meal so ther is room for dessert.

Very small and at times noisy. Not a good set up with tables.Vegetarian breakfast - bread was very crispy, haloumi was a little leathery, mushrooms and tomatoes were great. Not impressed with packet butter.Coffee was excellent. Some staff smiled, one didn't look friendly. All in all, good breakfast.
