We are an award winning independent vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Bath. Our aim is to provide excellent informal food at a reasonable price. We are fully licensed and have an extensive menu with many vegan and gluten free options.
This little restaurant, just a stone's throw from Bath Abbey, doesn't feature highly and that's quite a shame. My wife is a lifelong vegetarian, I'm none of the sort but on any trip visiting, I'm looking for somewhere special. This is one of those places. We were just on a day trip into Bath and looked up vegetarian restaurants. the only one mentioned on our first search was miles from the city centre but we found the Green Rocket on Pierrepont Street, very visible on the corner, and it's lovely.Clearly there are busy times and one or two customers had to wait a few minutes. if you're in a group of five to eight it would be wise to book.We had a delightful meal washed down by a glass of very fine rose wine. The ambience is simple and friendly. Good service, good value. A meal to remember.

After a very early wake up and long journey to Bath we dropped our bags off at our hotel and went in search for a good breakfast. Thereâs a few restaurant/cafe chains near by bit we opted for the local looking establishment hopping for good local fare. And we were not disappointed. Food was good, portions generous and friendly staff. All in all exactly what we set off to find. One small criticism, the place is a little cramped, waiters bumped into me on a couple occasions. But no biggie.

Definitely the best cafe to get amazing vegetarian/vegan food in Bath! I come here at least once a week since starting uni in Bath last year! My housemates and I love it at Rooted. We called in for breakfast early one morning to this delicatessen/café. It seemed to be very popular with locals. There is a seating area at the front and a larger area to the rear.We wanted toast for breakfast which wasn't on the menu but the gentleman was very obliging and made it for us.We enjoyed good quality coffee with some very nice toast all at a very reasonable prices.

Cosy up in our recently refurbished cafe or wrap up and sit outside in our heated courtyard. Quietly situated a stone's throw from Bath Abbey, (just off Abbey Green -side entrance to Marks & Spencer). We pride ourselves with our warm and friendly service
I chose Courtyard cafe because it was busy, convenient and the menu looked good and the waitress appeared friendly. I waited to be served as the couple before me had been. if they had taken a drink order that would have been fine. I appreciate she was on her own but did not appreciate her response or hearing her say audibly to another customer that I was rude. Which I was not!

The breakfast took 35 minutes. Only two occupied tables. Two poached eggs and porridge should not take 35 minutes (and then they forgot the side order). This used to be a great Spanish-run restaurant where we've eaten many times. The food was still very good, but the new ownership are hobbyists, amateurs. Throughout a dog wandered around the restaurant tables and behind the counter' I've taught Hotel & Catering. In hygiene terms this is not acceptable. We won't ever eat there again.

I was visiting Bath and looking for a cafe for lunch where I could take my 2 dogs and was directed here by a local resident. What a find! The service couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and the staff were genuine dog lovers. I had a delicious toasted sandwich on sourdough with salad and the price was very reasonable. A great lunch discovery.

Great Italian food, low prices, independently owned.Waiting staff must be very fit as kitchen on 3rd floor.Toilets on 2nd floor so not suitable for those with very young children ( also not much space for them) or mobility issues. A few tables on the ground floor.Buzzing when we visited. Thanks very much, love this review. x
