Kerbey Lane Cafe first opened our doors on May 5, 1980, serving made-from scratch comfort food out of a small house on Kerbey Lane. Today, Kerbey Lane Cafe remains 100% family-owned and we continue to stay true to our original values. We have 8 locations
Kerbey Lane is a small local chain that has been in Austin for a very long time. This location is the origional and reflects the vibe of the chain. It has a good menu and very good service. This venue is an old house that fits the vibe. Predictably good.

A friendly, rustic cafe with very fresh food. Everything we tried was tasty and satisfying. The frittata-of-the-day was a large plate that included greens and a wonderful grainy bread. Blintzes are probably not your grandma's recipe, but soothingly creamy. Tuna Tartine was a large portion (again on a wonderful grainy bread) that came with chopped sun-dried tomatoes, greens and grapes. If you like tea, try the "Love Story" brew which is a heavenly match of black tea and chocolate.

Not what I expected in a strip center! Quaint âNawlinsâ atmosphere that is both adult and family friendly. Boudin and gator bites for appetizersâboth were great! Rice and beans (with sausage) were incredible. Fried shrimp were done just right! Expect a crowd on nights and weekends. Not much room for waiting, and what they do have is outside. There is outside seating, but the space is shared with waiting guests!. Itâs a little loud inside but, with the kids, that was probably a good thing!

This spot was not on my radar but it was right by our hotel and we needed a snack before late dinner reservations.... I was VERY pleased and surprised by how good it was! We shared the Normandie and practically licked the to-go box clean.

Not just an amazing tea list, but fantastic breakfast and lunch items - healthful, and decadent side by side. From health grains and greens buddha bowls to classic tea sandwiches, you can't go wrong. My favorite indulgences are the crystalized ginger scones, fig butter and/or Almond cake. (The almond cake is REAL decadent).

I chose Snooze as the place to have my last breakfast in Austin. Our waitress, Jessa, was very attentive, brought our food out promptly and always made sure we had enough coffee. Their coffee mugs are this cheerful, bright yellow color and the cream comes in a cute, little tin canister. The coffee was piping hot and delicious. My breakfast, the âFrench Toast Neatâ was a scrumptious French toasted brioche completed with whipped mascarpone cream and fresh blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries. The toast was drizzled with just the right amount of pure Vermont maple syrup. The only thing I regret was how fast my last breakfast with my friends from Austin went.

This was my first visit to Magnolia Cafe. I ordered the T. Rex omelette with home fries and a gingerbread pancake. The omelette was large & delicious. The home fries were excellent. The pancake was very good. The prices were reasonable. The service was fast & friendly. They have indoor seating in 2 different areas with the kitchen between. There is limited parking even during mid-morning. Definitely a great place for a good meal.

We were in town for the weekend and chose this place for breakfast for the name and its GF options. We settled on omelette and had sides of the cornmeal pancake. Iâve never heard of having to pay for syrup to go along with my pancake! I did receive a free version but only after asking for it.The cornmeal pancake was good- something different for sure, but very tasty. I added pecans. The omelette was so-so. Itâs a popular spot with a constant wait. We arrived shortly after 9 on Sunday and only had to wait for 15 minutes. I think Iâd chose another spot in the future.

And they liked it! They asked for a sample of the veggie chorizo first...liked it so much they got the breakfast tacos with them. The other guy got a grilled cheese and a bagel with PB & a smoothie. The other 2 who are not vegetarians ordered the omlets which had the super yummy thin potato hash browns and cheese and tomatoes. The head hunter loved the cornmeal blueberry bread so much he had us all taste it! Hibiscus Raspberry iced tea was also good
