We had an incredible couple of days with Florian! We travelled from Canada ???????? and had never been to Germany. He made our experience stress-free and so fun!! He picked us up at the airport, took us for an authentic German supper at a local restaurant in Frankfurt and then we did an evening guided tour of the city. The next two days were full of the Rhein Valley and Mosel Valley. Small quaint villages, wine, food and history! Florian is intelligent, funny and kind. We couldn’t have asked for more. His English is impeccable and in fact he speaks several languages fluently. We saw more in the few days we had with him than we could have ever imagined! 5 Stars all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You will never regret your choice to book with Florian! We can’t wait to visit Germany again one day!

My husband and I had a great time on this private wine tour. Carl picked us up in his extremely comfortable car, provide great snacks, was very knowledgeable, and took us to wineries that were great! He clearly has a very good reputation in the local industry based on the welcoming that he received at the wineries. He tailored the wineries to our tastes (which he determined prior to our wine tour), and we bought wines at every stop since they were so good! At one photo op spot, where I accidentally left my purse (and didn't realize until 30 minutes later), he went back (on his own) and brought my purse to me at the next winery where I was waiting, and nothing was missing and I was so relieved since my passport and credit cards were in my purse! I say this only because I want to provide an example indicating how honest and helpful he is. This was one of the best wine tours I've had in my life (and I've had wine tours in many countries). Thank you !!

If you want to visit the homeland of your ancestors, Manfred Pitz is the man for the job! We were in Germany in April 2019 while on a Viking river cruise. While others in our group visited Heidelberg, my husband and I hired Manfred to take us to the Palatinate to see the town where my great-great grandparents lived before moving to the US. Manfred was able to locate the minister of the church were my ancestors were married, and we were able to tour the church, which normally is locked on weekdays. He contacted distant relatives who operate a restaurant that carries my family name, and arranged for a private lunch for us. My distant relatives do not speak or read English, and Manfred served as translator throughout our visit. (Manfred has lived and worked in the United States, and his English skills are excellent.) Thanks to Manfred, our visit was the most memorable part of our vacation. The name of his company, "A Friend in Heidelberg" says it all. He is more than a chauffeur. He is more than a tour guide. He is the consummate professional and a dear and true friend.

Thanks to the Internet genealogical research has become way easier. Nowadays you have an unparalleled opportunity to trace your roots to a certain town and to explore where your ancestors originated. You might even get lucky and meet some distant relatives. If your ancestors are from Germany, I am here to help you explore the places and points of interest related to your ancestors. Actually, a lot of Germans who emigrated came from the region I serve as a driver guide or better your "concierge on wheels". I am located in the renowned historic city of Heidelberg and my primarily geographical area of operations stretches from Frankfurt in the north, Stuttgart and Strasbourg in the south, Saarbrucken and Kaiserslautern, known as "K-town" by US army personnel, in the west and Würzburg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the east. The name of my boutique-style chauffeur and limousine service is "a friend in heidelberg". Many guests of mine told me that this very name is the perfect choice. I was not only born in the famous historical city of Heidelberg and know the area extremely well, but also lived and worked in the US and hence speak fluent English. If you wish I can help you with the organization of your trip ahead of time. In contrast to the famous movie "Back to the Future", I cannot serve with a DeLorean with a built-in time machine, but offer a fully equipped first-class Mercedes S-Class limousine for travels back to one’s past.

Inclusions: WiFi on board, Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, Parking Fees, Soda/Pop, Bottled water, Coffee and/or Tea

Mini hot rods are THE hype in Germany and have taken cities like Hamburg, Frankfurt or Berlin by storm within a very short time. They inspire and provide astonished looks wherever they appear, which also makes them the perfect advertising space for companies. Tourists queue up to experience the sights of Mainz on one of the most unusual city tours. And many Mainz residents have already succumbed to the HOTROD virus. The small, white cars (Mini Hot Rod) are also happy to be booked for company events, birthdays or hen parties and bachelor parties. One of the best activities in Germany now with us in Mainz.

I was disappointed that despite booing this Tour, I received last minute notice that it had been cancelled due to rain. They did not mention this possibility when I booked it. If they had I would have checked the weather before, and booked something else. As it happened, this left a hole in my schedule that I could not5 fill at the last minute.

Carl was very knowledgeable and gave us loads of insights. We visited 3 different wineries that all had something unique to offer. Carl tailored the tour to what we wanted but also inspired us to try alot of different blends that were amazing. We tasted a total of 52 different wines!! Snacks and even more wine was provided in between the stops. We had great day and would definitely call him again when we go back to the area for some more amazing German wines!

10. Fun in the vintage bus

Alter Messplatz, Nordring 5, 76829 Landau in der Pfalz, Germany

Who has not once felt like it, to jet in a real vintage car around the area. In the South Palatinate there is a great offer for holiday guests and locals, where namely the restored "Blue Lightning" takes his trips. It is a Volkswagen T2 bus from the series "Lord of Hanover" of which only 1200 pieces have been produced. With its 70 hp, it can rock up to 7 passengers through the landscape and it will round off the nostalgic experience inside the good old hits of the 1950s to 70s. Day and half-day tours are offered, where you can either simply drive around the area or, for example, visit special sights and wineries.

Inclusions: Private transportation, A glass of Secco included.
