Cheap and chilled bar located in the heart of Koh samed. Come and have a cold beer or signature cocktail, listen to good music, play chess, cards or any board games we have available. Swap stories with fellow travellers or plan your next adventure.
Ollys is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in!! They go above and beyond to help. Before we even arrived they were at the end of the phone to help us when we were confused at the port. Not only was the hostel extremely clean but the facilities and security was great also. The staff were welcoming and lovely, with amazing English. They recommended the best spots to eat, drink and snorkel. If visiting Koh Samet, it’s a must you come to ollys even if it’s for a drink.

I would recommend that you go early in morning because humidity is intense. Wear good walking shoes, bring loads of drinking water and camera to take photos. Road from Kleang is very good after 1st mile. Well signposted 18kms from left turn after tesco lotus in kleang. 200 baht entrance fee for foreigner 60 baht for thai person. 7 levels to place, first three no problem but after that become harder and strenuous. Pulling on ropes etc. Beautiful spot many exotic plants, many fish and the odd snake. Cannot bring food into park check your bag and count how many plastic bottles you take in. Have to sign in sign out. Park closes at 4pm. Could only make to level 6 exhausted. Do not attempt to go here in wet weather slippery rocks and tree roots. But overall a great adventure.

A beautiful beach that is difficult to access. I found it via the foreshore path that weaves its away around the coast, sometimes rather precariously. A very quiet place but it is worth the effort to access this travel brochure beach.

Fascinating to walk through mature and young mangrove forests and to see the strange, arching roots of the big trees holding them steady in the swampy ground. The boardwalk is well maintained and there are several wide observation areas where you can rest and take photos. We couldn't complete the circular walk because of an unusually high tide and storm surge from tropical storm Pabuk in the far west of the Gulf, but the whole walk would have been good to do - passing the Frigate Prasae on the way.

Stunning beach must be 3kms long. Ideal for swimming or leisurely walks. Very clean and some great restaurants and bars in the area. Very family /couple orientated. Excellent beaches either side such as Aokaoi and Coca Cola. Highly recommended for good safe area. Nothing like Pattaya. Weekend breaks or a number of weeks of relaxation.

While locked down for six months in Jomtien, we were always looking for day trips and after a short day at the beach as showers drove us off we headed over to Rayong and decided to take in the Aquarium. Glad we did and most interesting, and a very reasonable entry fee. While not large, it was very well laid out, and innovative as to how fish and coastal animals were displayed. It gave one a good idea of some of the Marine life on this area of the Thailand Coast. If in the area, I would put it on the to do list for sure. Chill out on the nice beach. Go to Island Koh Samet and snorkel. Enjoy swimming in Thailands gulf. It is of the beaten tourist tracks and very relaxed. The sea is clean and the beach is sandy. Different attractions around.
