WWT Llanelli is a 450 acre mosaic of lakes, scrapes, pools, streams and lagoons adjoining the salt marshes and the shore of the scenic Burry Inlet. Whether you're a serious bird watcher or just looking for fun and relaxation, you can have a day of discovery whatever the weather. Hand feed some of the rarest birds in the world, see our colourful Carribean flamingos, go bug hunting or pond dipping, enjoy bird watching from our hides and explore the reserve to see butterflies, dragonflies and more! And don't forget to look out for elusive water voles! Activities throughout the year include pond dipping, minibeast hunts, workshops, special events, walks, talks and crafts. We also have our amazing canoe safari during the school summer holidays (please note canoes aren't included in admission). For the latest info about what's on at the centre, please visit our website. Went to see a play. Comfy seats, great play and well set out auditorium - had a clear view of the stage. Very pleasant staff The entrance area and bar are used for art exhibitions - brilliant idea and really good selection of pieces on Show, which can also be bought. Even able to buy prints etc of the art. Great evening, will go again.

You have to have an ice cream if you are at the seaside and this is definitely the place to go if you are in the area. It was a difficult choice because there were so many to choose from. I tried apple sorbet and was given a taste if the black currant and pink grapefruit ones too... delicious. They were so tasty and refreshing I had to sneak back for some more, the others had vanilla and chocolate mint chip and coffee and caramel. Enjoy

Parc Howard Museum is a majestic Bath stone villa surrounded by beautiful gardens. Its displays tell the fascinating story of a remarkable town, its people, character and events. It is also home to the largest public collection of Llanelli Pottery and works of art by and of Llanelli subjects. Fila urddasol o gerrig nadd yw Amgueddfa Parc Howard gyda gerddi prydferth o'i chwmpas. Mae'r arddangosfeydd a geir yno yn adrodd stori tref ryfeddol, ei phobl, ei chymeriadau a'r hyn a ddigwyddodd yno. Mae'r amgueddfa hefyd yn gartref i'r casgliad cyhoeddus mwyaf o grochenwaith Llanelli a gweithiau celf gan arlunwyr lleol.
This museum was filled with interesting artefacts that explained the industry and crafts of the area. The children loved the fact that the staff put themselves out to be friendly and explain things to them; they were exceptional and made our visit fun and informative. The grounds are really lovely and there is a very nice, well maintained childrens playpark. We were amazed to find such a lovely place to visit that was totally free which was a huge bonus when so many attractions are so expensive. We would all highly recommend this place for both children and adults alike.

A private Victorian house, set in a secluded location on the outskirts of Llanelli, virtually unchanged since the 19th century. Still under restoration, the house contains a fine collection of paintings by the current owner's great-grandfather and his artist friends and contemporaries. There is plenty for families to enjoy here, with a tower to be climbed if the weather is dry. The woodland gardens contain an interesting collection of plants which favour the mild climate and acid soil found here. Tours are open to the public on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month between April and September. The tours are nearly always conducted by a member of the Mansel Lewis family and conclude with home-made refreshments served in the dining room. Private tours by appointment. Booking via the website is essential
I have visited this home on a number of occasions and joined many tours. I would firstly like to thank family members for sharing their beautiful home and their vast historical knowledge, in a very friendly and inviting manner. Needless to say this home is beautiful and interesting and transports you into the past for a couple of hours. I think we should appreciate the cost and work involved to preserve this home for future generations to enjoy and experience a glimpse in to our past. I understand that the family on occasion extend their service to overnight stay. What a privilege to rest our weary head in such surroundings, this would be. Something for the future I hope. I’ll be more than happy to share my room with a spider or two who are privileged to call this their permanent residence, despite efforts by the owners to dust them away and I’d expect a little light dust in a building this age, merely from the fabrics used in the build and decor. All part of the experience I would think. I look forward to a time when this virus is relegated to the history books and visits resume at the castle. Once again I thank you for sharing your home.
