Such a fun activity to do when visiting Kelowna! My husband and I rented bikes from Myra Canyon bike rental and spent the morning exploring the paths that take you around the canyon, through caves and over old bridges that were previously used for trains. Would highly recommend!

Discover the natural and human history of Kelowna. Museums are living places, and that’s true of Kelowna’s flagship museum, the Okanagan Heritage Museum too. In fact, the entire permanent gallery has been reimagined! In spring 2019, we wrapped up a multi-year process that saw us overhaul our entire permanent gallery. Pay us a visit and enjoy our ‘new’ museum. Experience fascinating displays and learn how the Okanagan valley was formed, and why it supports tremendous biodiversity. Step into the world of the syilx/Okanagan people, and gain insights into their close connection to the land. Learn about the arrival of traders and settlers, and peer into the windows of an original “Chinatown” shop. Meet some individuals from Kelowna’s past and present, and be inspired by the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame. This museum is also home to two important facilities: the Kelowna Public Archives and the Ursula Surtees Regional Conservation Laboratory.

If you spot Ogopogo, the legendary lake monster said to inhabit these waters, you'll make headline news, but other than that, you're sure to enjoy all the recreational activities this 82-mile long lake has to offer: swimming, boating, parasailing and all types of water sports.
This is one f the cleanest and most beautiful lakes in Canada. Beautiful beaches, clean water and gorgeous scenery all through the valley. A “must experience”!

The walk around the park offers beautiful views of the Okanagan Lake and surrounding mountains. In the park there is plenty to children to do; offering a number of play areas. The park also has a public washroom facility that is in a decent condition for how public washrooms go. The park is very well maintained and offers large green spaces to sunbathe and also sandy beaches when you can chill out or swim in the lake. The pier is really cool to walk on and view the boats and head out further into the lake. In addition the walkway around the park is perfectly flat for bike riding.

Had stopped at another winery, saw signs for House of Rose so started driving....and driving. But once we got there, we were so glad we made the trip. The staff were so friendly and chatty, shared some lovely wines with us, and made recommendations to other wineries based on our tastes, even took out a map and highlighted other wineries. A real gem, we hope to be back.

Enjoyed a VIP tour with Clarissa, and got to walk the vines, and see great integration of sustainable practices, and investment in wine made in harmony with nature. Whether its the bees, the deer, birds, or pests, these folks are the winery of the future, reducing the carbon footprint, and producing some unique wines, where, after touring the land, I understand better than ever, how the terroir comes through. Look for this winery to make an impression.
