Artists Alliance Gallery

Three stories of really wonderful modern art and a few rooms of high quality souvenirs. Honestly, even if you aren't going to buy a painting, I would come here to buy souvenirs over the Art market. Everything is fairly priced, nobody hassles you and you don't have to haggle.

Very educational tour. A place that you should visit if you go to Ghana. The building is not special, but the atrocities should not be forgotten.

Wli Waterfalls

We took the long walk to get to the highest point, it is impossible to follow the trail without a tour guide, our tour guide was a local guy called Dodzi, amazing dude, we had a blast with him during the hike and afterwards drinking some beers with him and other locals. The hike is tiring, but so rewarding once you get to the waterfalls and take aa swim in their pool. If you come to Ghana, this trip is a must!

International Stingless Bee Centre

The International Stingless Bee Centre (ISBC) is a sanctuary for stingless bees and a place of environmental education and ecotourism. Many people do not know about stingless bees, especially African species, nor have many sampled their honey, pollen and propolis, delectable activities offered at the ISBC. In addition to beekeeping, the ISBC also serves as a station for international research.

We had a lovely visit to the International Stingless Bee Centre. Our guide Samuel was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was fun to get up close and personal with these unique and friendly bees. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, and educational experience, I highly recommend visiting this place. Price was 44 cedis each.

This is the home, library and final resting place of American-born crusader for social justice, William Edward Burghardt DuBois.

Definitely worth visiting if interested in learning something new. This is the home of W.E.B. DuBois at which he lived until his death in 1963. It is now a museum and his burial site. Lots to see- library, burial site, photos, information on prominent black political figures, personal items, graduation gowns and paintings. You can also walk around the grounds. Personal tour given on request. Kingsley was excellent. Fee for entrance and tour is 7 Cedis. Worth checking out the Diaspora African Forum just behind. Informative tour of the exterior given by Clement. Nice way to spend a few hours.

Kakum National Park

This forested parkland makes for a great day hike with fantastic views, especially from the wooden suspension bridges that soar a hundred feet overhead.

Reviewed By 904agnesc - Zoutleeuw, Belgium

I visited the park twice to do birdwatching. It's about half an hour walk along a trail uphill (no heals or flipflops), until you reach the canopy walk. There are 6 platforms, all connected with hanging bridges, built around big trees, +- 40m above the forest floor. You don't see the ground however, which is a benefit if you're afraid of heights. The bridges are quite narrow : the wooden boards you walk on are about 30cm wide and the protective netting isn't always in the best of condition. But to be with the birds on their level, high in the canopy, is awesome.

Let me say..you definitely get a feel of local life..wear comfy shoes and dont drink water before going because once u get inside of what i call "THE MONSTER" good luck with finding a bathroom..be careful with your personal belongings as there are thousands of people everywhere moving so fast. But i loved it the hussle and bussle and fabric shopping man ole man..Its truly an experience so if accra its a must...go early in the morning because traffic is terrible...catching a cab will be easy because they are driving in the midst of the street...but the deals are better than the art center. Also alot of people dont want to be photographed so just be mindful...happy shopping!!!
