Cheltenham was just your average, sleepy town until the discovery of a spring in 1716, after which it became Britain's most popular spa town. (Like Palm Springs without the casinos.) Local Cheltonians have a reputation for being wealthy and respectable, and a walk along the Promenade will give you a first-class view of their wonderful houses, shops and gardens. After taking in the waters at the Pittville Pump Room (great name for a spa), check out the Art Gallery and Museum to learn about the social history of Cheltenham.

I have been coming here for several years for a range of different treatments and every time I am warmly greeted by a member of staff, enjoy the fizz and always leave feeling rejuvenated. Today my facial treatment with Jess was outstanding in every way. Her highly professional, yet welcoming manner, ensured I felt relaxed from the outset, her skilful massage and delightful products lifted my spirits on a dull January day. Thank you so much, Val.

We offer a range of packages giving you a rare opportunity to handle and fly a variety of Birds Of Prey here in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire the heart of The Cotswolds. Groups are intentionally kept small, this ensures everyone will get plenty of hands on time with the birds. Max 6 participants, although larger groups catered for on request. Therefore our experiences should not be compared to those found on the discount sites, where groups tend to be very large. Our sessions are designed to give you a more personal experience whether you choose our Hawk Walk, Owl encounter or one of our other packages our aim is to give you some very special memories to cherish.
Today was all about making treasured memories..... Thanks to Clare from Walks with hawks I was able to give my parents an experience I never thought possible. My mother is physically disabled with limited mobility and severe ataxia (uncontrollable shakes) Clare was so patient and kind to my mum and involved her completely and made her feel confident to fully participate. With mum's physical challenges this was truly magical to see. I was amazed to see mum completely at ease to hold all the birds, and have them fly to her, including the magnificent Hope, the blue Chilean Eagle. Dad was in awe and blown away by spectacular birds. The whole experience was fabulous from start to finish, Clare's knowledge and passion for her beautiful birds is infectious. Clare proved to be the most attentive guide with us all and adapted the experience so that we all could enjoy it to the full. 5 star service with memories that we will treasure forever

My son got a lesson as a generous birthday present from a family friend, and I was so jealous I booked one for myself the same day! Christina was our instructor, and helped me choose a "beginner" route from Glasgow to Belfast. I did the taxiing, the takeoff, the approach to Belfast and the landing, all in 45 minutes including a very thorough briefing. My son was less choosy (and more cheeky!) so Christina recommended a more "interesting" route - Innsbruck to Salzburg. As you can see in the pictures that meant a mountain to avoid on takeoff and a valley to fly through for the landing. Exciting and we did have to make one go-around but my son nailed the landing and declared it was "more fun than [he] expected it would be".

Great evening at the everyman, lovely venue and, friendly staff. So easy to park by, we walked down a few steps and we were in the theatre. We were front row of the upper circle, right in the middle, so we had a great view of the stage. Al Murray was very entertaining, and the chandelier was impressive ???? my son had an ice cream which was £3 and very small, but all in all a great evening

Sitting in the heart of the Cotswolds, Cotswold Farm Park has a long-standing reputation for a fun-filled day out. Visitors of all ages can interact closely with the animals and learn about farming, past and present. As the home of rare breed conservation, visitors can meet over 50 flocks and herds of farm animals, including Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs and Highland cattle. The indoor barns can be enjoyed all year round, as they are undercover and protected from the elements. With an adventure playground, Farm Safari, Maze, Tractor School, Sand pits and Jumping pillows, there’s lots of entertainment for children of all ages. The on-site restaurant, serving seasonal food and Adam’s own beer, is a hit with the adults. There’s plenty to offer outside the Farm Park too. Experience the stunning diversity of animals and plants by completing the two mile Wildlife walk, or extend your stay by booking a pitch on the campsite. We hope to see you soon!
A really enjoyable day at Adam’s Farm. This was a return visit for us, and the mix of animals and play activities kept all the family very well entertained. Additionally, the rare breed sausage and chips went down very well indeed with everyone - and the restaurant improvements since last time was a welcome improvement Highly recommend

Explore Cheltenham’s historic house, the Holst Birthplace Museum, where composer Gustav Holst was born in 1874. The house is a time capsule of 19th century life with a working Victorian kitchen, Victorian bedroom, scullery and nursery. Visitors can also experience a Regency Sitting Room, of the type popular when Cheltenham was a fashionable spa town. It is the only Regency domestic room open to the public in the town and contains an impressive art collection. Composer Gustav Holst’s life and times can be discovered in his Music Room, complete with the piano on which he composed The Planets. The museum hosts a range of exhibitions, events and children’s activities throughout the year; including the popular ‘Bake Back in Time’ events which use the working coal-fired range.
This is the 19th century house where Gustav Holst was born in 1874 and is now a museum with exhibits on Victorian life in England. It has a working Victorian kitchen, bedroom, scullery and nursery as well as a Regency sitting room. The composer's life and times can be seen in the Music room with the piano on which he composed the Planets. At the top of the house there is a room with toys. There is a 30 minute video which is definitely worth watching and very informative. We came to see the exhibition ' A Victorian Childhood' which is on until 14th December 2019. They advertise Bake back in Time events using the working coal-fired range. There is a shop where they have guidebooks in French, German, Spanish and Japanese. The staff are all very enthusiastic and friendly. Entrance is £6.00 and £2 for children but you can get a family ticket for 2 adults and up to 3 children for £14, and all entrance tickets are now annual passes - you can come back as many times as you like in a year. It is closed on Sunday and Monday, otherwise open from 10.30am until 4pm.
