Smack in the center of Romania is Brasov, a harmonious mash-up of traditional charm and modern city life. Ride a double-decker bus around the city to get your bearings and see the sites whiz by, then hop off to squeeze down Strada Sforii, the narrowest street in Europe. Take a day trip to see the fortified church of Prejmer, the Libearty brown bear sanctuary, and the deliciously ominous Bran Castle, otherwise known as Dracula’s Castle.

St. Nicholas is more than a church. It is an Orthodox Cathedral as well as a Museum Complex as it also represents the First Romanian School, taught in Romanian in times where schooling was regarded as a luxury and subjects were mostly presented in French, German or Latin. St. Nicholas is an amazingly beautiful monument in itself and while in Brasov, I highly recommend stopping for a visit.

The museum has a wide gallery where it hosts interesting temporary exhibition that incorporate an outlook of modern times through technology or contemporary subjects. For example, Celest - an exhibition that is on until July 13th 2017, that is about the exploration of space. Interesting for anybody who likes to play, regardless of age.

This is the heart of the city. With so many nearby restaurants and cafes, this is a vibrant area with locals and tourists. You can have a seat and watch people carrying bags from their shopping. Just around the corner from Old Town is the historic Black Church.

I live in Brașov and Coresi is one of my favorite places... You have all you need there... Restaurants, children playgrounds, cinema, shoes and clothes shops, library, outside is a skate park, ping pong tables...
