The Arcadia Opera House, built in 1906, is a museum and enormous antique shop. It houses an amazing collection of historical items and the theater is in near original condition. Several paranormal investigations have taken place there and the Opera House is a well know haunted location.
It was a Monday, so many of the antique stores were closed. We were fortunate to stumble on The Bizarre Bazaar located in The Opera House. We spent over an hour wandering in the various small shops. The owner of the building and his shop The Bizarre Bazaar was so helpful finding things for us and giving us good deals on our new treasures. Will certainly go back on our next visit.

I only visit Arcadia a few times a year, but for the past 15 years, I always stop at Rattler's Old West Saloon when in or passing through Arcadia. It's a perfect accompaniment for the Oak Street antique shop row being itself a historic building and vintage-style bar. [That includes smoking allowed which may be a turn off for some people, so be aware. Although I don't smoke, it doesn't bother me to spend half an hour or so in this bar.] I love the high ceilings and loge-style second floor seating. The lady's room is the most beautiful and comfortable I've ever seen. I haven't been there at night for a show but the stage looks exciting! Our bartender David was charming, personable, informative and my friend said he made a great Bloody Mary!

We camped here for 5 nights. The camping is beautiful - live oaks everywhere, and very quiet at night. During the day (and especially the weekend) there are plenty of kayakers and visitors around the campground - this was fine with us as we were fossil hunting all day. The bathrooms are efficient and not fancy. The water has a strong sulfur taste, so bring your own if you don't like that. We loved our time here and we'll be back if we're in the area again!

We are a century pioneer family farm in the Arcadia, FL area. At our grove stand we have fresh citrus in season and fresh squeezed juices, ice cream, key lime pie and all sorts of citrus based products and gifts. We also have Grove Tours by appointment only.
Everyone was so nice and helpful. It was nice to be able to walk through the garden and pick what vegetable we wanted. Great place to visit. Heading back in a couple days for more fruit and vegetables.
