My friends and I have done a couple of rooms here and have never had a bad experience. I will say we have only escaped once but were close the rest of the time. The room Film Noir was a very fun room with challenging puzzles and our gamemaster Josh did an absolutely amazing job keeping all of our questions and instructions in theme. We will definitely be returning for another room.

Hearthstone Historic House Museum

The Hearthstone is a large, beautifully restored Queen Anne Victorian Style home built in 1882 by Henry J. Rogers, Superintendent of the Appleton Paper and Pulp Mill. On September 30, 1882, Hearthstone was the first house in the world to be lit by an Edison central hydroelectric power station. The house retains many unique, genuine features, including the original Thomas Edison electroliers and light switches. Appleton was one of the first three cities in the world to be lit by an Edison central power station, the other two being New York and London. This was all due to Mr. Rogers, who decided to invest in Edison’s power station in order to light two paper mills and his home. Since it became a museum in 1987, Hearthstone’s focus is to preserve the house and its artifacts to re-create a historical experience based on its Thomas A. Edison heritage for the cultural enjoyment and educational benefit of the public through its many exhibits and programs.

We went to 1 ball game this year but it was a great one. We went with two grandkids from Pulaski. They were giving away things because it was the last home game. We are both retired and wanted to go to more games but we had a busy summer. We did make it to the Donald Driver game and had great seats. Fireworks were AWESOME.

Have only been here in winter and it is so beautiful. This year we did the candlelight ski/snowshoe and that was the best. The people here are so welcoming and helpful. The trails are very nice with a mix of open area and wooded area. Every time we have come, the parking lot looks full, but the trails were never crowded except during the evening walks. However, even then it was not bad and people on the trails were friendly. I had family who came with their grade school for a field trip and thought it was very nice. Highly recommend.
