The dinner was exceptional and service excellent. The only problem I have with the Ty'n Rhos is that apart from the country house name there was absolutely no indication that we were in Wales. All menus in English etc. Slate on the table hardly counts. Why isn't Wales prouder of its heritage and language?

Family friendly cafe serving fresh, tasty home made food at reasonable prices. Very popular with locals but allways a friendly welcome for all
Stopped by and shared a table with some locals who come frequently. Tried the ploughmanâs lunch since Iâve read about it often. Those ploughmen needed lots to eat, definitely more than I do! Nice serving of ham, several varieties of cheese, pickled onions, cole slaw and bread on the side. Quick, friendly service too.

I've visited this pub twice over the last couple of years when camping in Wales the last time being in August 2019. What a gem. The food is fantastic, massive portions and a wide selection including a specials board. No ping meals all home cooked. Staff extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Family Owned Freehouse serving homemade fresh food with a good selection of wines, beers and a large selection of malt whiskys. Groups, Children and dogs welcome
I usually recommend this place to people but today was disappointed. 10 of us were eating. Mixed reviews by everyone. Carvery - after the meat was placed on my plate, i had to wait quite a while for the veg to be replenished. Could not eat the ham, was way to salty. Others complained the gravy was watery, roasties and parsnips were dry. Dessert - apple crumble came with half a scoop of ice cream, by the time it was returned with more ice cream, around 10mins later, obviously the crumble was cold. There was around 20mins from when the first pudding was brought out, to when the last came. I will return, as iâm hoping today was just a blip!! It was busy there. Pizzas are awesome on their pizza night!!Yes it was busy on sunday but as a small family run buisness we always want to ensure that our customers enjoy their visit and are not disappointed. we always endevour to improve so thankyou for the feedback and hopefully you will not be disappointed next time!ThanksJohn and Louise

We visited as a group of 11 ranging in ages from 15 to 35. The hosts were fantastic, they set up the table for us and were really friendly in accomodating our needs. The food was pretty decent, the menu is standard and not huge but caters for all dietary requirements. The food all came out piping hot and was really nice. Two main things that stopped me from giving this place 5 stars, speed of food coming out and the quality of my steak. Granted we all ordered individually but by the time the first person finished the last one was just getting their food. The steak was ok, nothing special. They have a good selection of gins and the place is clean enough for all people. Would I come back again, yes I would.

We were a family of 11 who had walked a stretch of the Anglesey coastal footpath. We had pre booked tables and arrived both thirsty and hungry. The staff were all very friendly particularly John who did a brilliant job of looking after us. The food was delicious! 11 very satisfied customers.

Set alongside the Menai La Marina on the prestigious Port Dinorwic Marina, La Marina specialises in tapas, seafood, and grilled meats.
Most of the dishes were 5*, but there were a couple we did not enjoy. Combined with the high prices, lowered my review to 4*.It was difficult to get a booking here, but we were able to make a reservation for 1 of the 3 nights we were in the area. On arrival we were not advised how many dishes to order (2-3 each apparently), so ordered 13 between 4 which was too much. Some of the dishes were absolutely amazing (I loved the chorizo appetiser and omg the salt & pepper chips were out of this world!!) but some of the dishes were disappointing. We weren't impressed with beef brisket or duck (especially as these are so expensive! at £8.50 each, nearly twice the price of the chorizo which I loved). Some dishes are a lot bigger than others too - the chips and paella were large for example, defo only needed 1 other dish to go with. Cocktails around £8.50 each.We paid £55 per couple with 1 alcoholic drink each and small tip, which seems very expensive to me, although we don't often eat out.

The Swellies is situated on the historic Port Dinorwic Marina, half-way between the University City of Bangor and the medieval town of Caernarfon. We serve fantastic breakfasts, delicious light lunches, beautiful home-made cakes, and quality barista coffe
What a great cafe, we popped in here for a quick lunch and were delighted with the modern versions of old favourites. The quality of the food is excellent. We returned the following day for breakfast and were welcomed by the owner. Fabulous breakfast all local content and great attentive staff without being in your face. Great location.

The Gun Room is located inside the beautiful and historic Plas Dinas Country House, formerly the home of Lord Snowdon, once the Husband of Princess Margaret, the Armstrong-Jones family. Now an award-winning intimate boutique country house, Plas Dinas offe
We dined here with friends. The evening began with cocktails in the lounge whilst we perused the menu. Cocktails are priced under £10. Lots of local and national produce available. I opted for the Welsh gin and was not disappointed. We had a three course dinner, which included an amuse-bouche and sorbet course but coffee was extra. The Welsh lamb comes highly recommended and the desserts are delicious. Good wine list, with prices from £20 upwards. Staff very attentive throughout. The meal cost £300 for the four of us.
