Been coming here for food on a regular basis since it open. The food is consistently good and the ever revolving specials board means there is always something different to try. Only a small place so be prepared to wait during busy times. Only negative for us is the beer on tap. They boast cOMmunity T-shirts and yes they do use a lot of local suppliers but only 1 local brewery. Ditch the Portland, Anchor and Blue Moon and get in some more local brews on a revolving basis from Magic Rock, Beer Ink etc. Thank you for taking the time to review us mattbri, We always appreciate the feedback, we have taken it on board and have reached out to a few local (even more local than magic rock ;)) breweries this week, so watch this space! It's always good to communicate these things with us, or else we never know!We look forward to welcoming you back again and again and again, Big love, Ellie + Alex

Serving lunch and fantastic atmospheric dinner with the Yorkshire hospitality. A good vegetarian/vegan selection of dishes. We will see you soon...
Loved it. Itâs a totally gluten-free restaurant so handy if you have a gluten intolerance/allergy. We donât and booked because it looked so lovely with excellent reviews. We werenât disappointed at all. The food was so good and very generous portions...beware! The summer salad was just the most delicious salad Iâve had in a long time. The goatâs cheese and wild mushroom tart is heavenly, I could eat that every day! Will definitely book to eat here again when visiting Leeds, a really gem.

New concept coffee, bar & kitchen serving artisan wood-fire roasted coffee, with an extensive food and drinks menu to cater for breakfast, brunch, and evening meals.
Not quite a 5* place for reasons I will explain later. But first the good points: the food is tasty and well-presented. Itâs great value for money. The owners definitely welcome you and the service is attentive but not oppressive! You get crystal glasses for your drinks! On the downside - place is a little small and gets noisy. My particular put-off was the parading of guests (maybe customers - more probably friends of the owners) with their dogs! Staff were stroking the dogs and then served us our food! No thanks! One of the dogs was big enough to be mistaken for a small horse! Finally people go outside to smoke - close to the open front door - all the smoke ends up back inside!Hey Costas!Thank you for kind words on our food and drink offerings! We take hygiene very seriously which is evident from our 5 star from the Food Standard Agency. As we are dog friendly and provide them with treats, staff are trained to wash their hands if they provide the warm welcome that we encourage here. If customers are exiting the premises to smoke, it is their responsibility to ensure they are away from the door and non-smokers are not affected by their second hand smoke. Overall we hope this hasn't deterred you from visiting us again. It would be a pleasure to have to try us again. Cheers,Residence74 Team

Visited with my daughter who has been before and highly recommended it. Great coffee, prompt service, food was super, waiter charming. What more could you ask for.I think they deserve the number 1 slot and will be going again. Thanks so much for your lovely review. I think he's charming too, although I may be slightly biased as he's my husband ;)

Why have we not been here before, the food and service were fantastic. From walking in to leaving our experience was great. We ate downstairs so you can actually watch the food coming out, every dish looked amazing, very intimate and just the tight size.I had the money bag, and I cant recommend enough the brie and mushrooms make a perfect duo, with crispy filo. My hubby had the crab cakes and goujons which were superb. For mains I chose the Halibut in a lobster sauce which was delightful, I've not had halibut before and it was cooked to perfection and so tasty. Hubby had the duck which was cooked pink and very succulent.Dessert was a traditional artic roll with meringue and raspberry. We will return

Informal Small Plate menus with sustainability at their heart. Once a month a completely vegetarian menu (begins 1st Wednesday of every month). Open for small plates at lunchtimes. Set menu dining each evening.
Great little cozy restaurant, serving such wonderful food with the best and the most AMAZING customer service from the waitress and chef!!!! imagine a table of 4, we had one vegetarian, one celiac and one who didnât eat fish and one that was just happy to eat and still nothing was a problem for them, they catered for us all and all the food was really lovely and really made us try foods cooked in a different ways. However when we asked if it was possible if we could have a cheeseboard made up which they had made up for us previously 1 & 1/2 hours into our meal the owner told us cold and very rudely that it wasnât possible because our time was up and we could only have what on the menu (This ruined the whole experience) - we still did have 1/2 hour left. We did appreciate they did make a massive effort with changing and swapping the food about to suit our food allergies and tastes, but her behaviour was not appropriate or professional. The evening was great until that point.Ohh and back to the cheeseboard ...when weâd asked where the cheese came from on the previous occasion, we went to the cheesemonger (George & Joseph) and we now regularly go there.. thatâs what small businessâs do, they support and help each other out! XWell this is the weirdest review we've ever had.Love everything we do, love the food we cook, love that we support other businesses. All of which is down to myself and my husband who have worked very hard to create a restaurant experience that everyone who joins us will enjoy. To maintain that high level of customer service though sometimes we have to decline certain requests. Going off menu for preferences rather than allergies, when there are other options that we're very proud of, is one of those instances. We don't offer a cheeseboard. We do offer two cheese dishes. They are excellent. I'm sorry you didn't want to try them or any of our dessert offerings. Truly baffled regarding your remarks about my behaviour. Its always difficult saying no to a guest, I genuinely hate this part of the job, but sometimes saying yes to some requests impact negatively on other diners. I realise that this may not be immediately apparent to those making the request but I do expect the decision to be taken in good grace. Sadly its not always the case which is why I am always the bearer of bad news and I never expect my staff to do this. But you are right. Claire and Connor are certainly excellent.

My second time here but Iâd been looking forward to it all week. Just like last time, a lovely warm welcome and I chose the special which was a spicy caprese and a pint of the beer on tap. Both were delicious.I canât fault this place. Really delighted to hear you were looking forward to it all week. Thanks for your great review, so glad you tried our October special and the beer, weâve just got a second beer on tap this week.We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

We are a family owned business that's proud to be independent. We support local suppliers in the pursuit for fresh and enticing dishes crafted amongst a modern contemporary menu established on the traditional British breakfast and brunch cuisine.
I admit we were a little disappointed to have missed the breakfast cut off time (11am) and we nearly left as a result of this. All I needed was a healthy potion of bacon and eggs and was faced with menu choices that didn't appeal. Slightly put out I ordered the pancakes and waited. During this time my order of tea came and whilst I like my tea fairly weak it was exceptionally weak and stirring the tea bag didn't make a difference. It was at this point I discovered I had no tea and merely hot water. The staff apologised repeatedly whilst I laughed...a lot. The pancakes then arrived and wow what can I say. Huge generous portion, very tasty and absolutely top notch. Asked if I got them free if I managed to eat them all I was told no but with a smile. It became a battle of whether I would eat them all, the pancakes would win or I would call for help. The pancakes won! Highly recommended and very good but that's a serious portion. Joking aside we have been here a few times and it's always very good. Both food and service is great and if you've not been you must. Book ahead though.

We went here based on Trip Advisor reviews, and while it was good I canât see why it gets such rave reviews. The food was very nice but fairly straightforward and not cheap. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. For us it was too noisy and echoey. The restaurant was not full but it was hard to hear each other because it was so noisy. Maybe the tables are too close to each other but I think it needs more baffle boards to deaden the sound a bit. Thank you for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. Your comments will be taken on board and passed on to the team.Kind Regards,Amber
