Five of us had a business and social lunch at the Centre. The Orangery had sandwiches, delicious tosties and scrumptious cakes with a choice of teas, coffees and soft drinks. Excellent facilities and welcoming staff.

I strongly recommend this wonderful gem of a restaurant in beautiful surroundings. The staff were kind friendly and attentive and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. It was a great place to take a decent and tranquil break on our long drive home from Cornwall. All of the tasty home cooked dishes were beautifully balanced. Thank you for a tip-top meal all round.

Having seen the tripadvisor reviews we decided to have our lunch in the Wyndham Arms. The food was excellent in both flavour and presentation, probably the best pub food I've ever had with very generous portions. The service was also excellent, and incredibly friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, and we will definitely return.

The food here is really very good, especially the fish But meat dishes good too. there;s nothihg quite like it in the area. Very good service, welcoming owners. Roaring open fires, lovely giant dog (and dogs more than welcome, but not obtrusive). Good wines, good beers.

Awarded the Good Hotel Guide's award for best newcomer in 2017, The Royal Oak offers a chic and sophisticated but distinctly relaxed vibe. With a creative, seasonal menu, a reputation for some of the finest food in the area and six serene and extremely co
The food here is definitely not the normal pub food. We were staying in one of the neighbouring hamlets so took the short drive to The Royal Oak. The food here is a step up in standard and quality, the menu isnât massive but the food was beautifully presented, and of excellent quality. Highly recommend the beetroot cured salmon starter. The two waitresses were polite and helpful, both an asset to the team.

Open every day, Beatons Tearoom & Bookshop is a small, elegant and friendly tearoom first established in Tisbury, Wiltshire, inspired by the elegance and style of Cecil Beaton. Whether youâre looking to relax and unwind over a pot of your favourite loose
My good friend has just paid £6.10 for a Luke warm americano no milk & a scone with no cream or jam Scone was the smallest I have ever seen Luckily I only had an earl grey tea £3.10 was nice tea but asked for extra hot water that never arrived I know itâs Sunday & you have a village tea room but come on Thank you for taking time to write this review. We do always serve our scones with our delicious jam and clotted cream, however it is our understanding that it was specifically requested without jam and cream. We do pride ourselves on our full table service, and an providing an elegant environment to our customers, along with home made food, cakes and a huge range of loose leaf teas for which we are renowned. This does cost a little more to deliver than the many high street 'counter service' outlets where clutter, noise, pre-packed food and queuing are the order of the day ! Its a difference that our customers do appreciate, as they constantly tell us. Thank you once again for your feedback and we do hope that on your next visit you may be able to pop by and try us again.

What a fab pub. What lovely staff! Always welcoming and a guaranteed smile. Superb real ale. Great wine but not expensive. Food is super. Their fish and chips are superb. Loved the ploughmanâs we had today too. All local cheese and ham. Great value also. Beautiful garden. Such wonderful attention to detail. Many pubs could learn from their style and humble approach. We will be back often.

Exceptional food, exceptional service and exceptional location! Fragrant wafts of freshly growing herbs, vegetables and fruits along with mouth-watering rich heady bbq smoke emanating from the âPytâ in addition to a bountiful abundance of fresh blooms, greet you and enlivens the senses in anticipation of a wonderful dining experience. Exceptionally fresh high quality ingredients used the menu. We indulged on both vegetarian, fish and meat assortments. The hot smoked salmon, fillet of beef, scallops, tiger prawns, and trio of puddings, burnt cream and kitchen mess gave us the utmost pleasure and in the glorious kitchen garden marquee gave us a memorable dining experience. Weâll most certainly be back!

I use to go to Compasses Inn regularly but in recent times had difficulty getting a room as they are always fully booked. So this trip we decided to make do with a meal, we were in the area doing walks that we used to do with our dog, he passed away last month, he particular;y used to like Compasses. So we reserved a table for lunch. Upon arrival we were early and the landlord was very accommodating given it was 45 minutes early. The starters were really good, very tasty and well cooked as well as presented. The main courses came, we both went for the fish and chips, and whilst the presentation was great as was the taste the portions were very small indeed, and did not offer value for money at all.We also noted that the service was good but the team lacked personality and whilst it was efficient it was not overly friendly.Having said that I still love the Compasses and would definitely return.

Very well presented country pub serving upmarket pub grub. Nice choice of wines by the glass and excellent homemade lemonade. First class service. Would definitely return. Very helpful when booking a table to include a 92year old with limited mobility. Not a big car park and the place was quite busy on a Monday lunchtime.
