We visited the pub on a quiet, off season day, quite early for lunch. It was crowded but luckily we found a nice table. When we saw the choice on the menu we realised exactly why it was crowded and the food was excellent. Parking is an issue and it may be worth taking the ferry from Teignmouth !

We are a family of commercial fisherman with two working fishing boats. The Crab Shack is a small restaurant on the back beach in Teignmouth where we serve fresh seafood.
Have heard about this place for years and finally managed to go for lunch. Booking is advised as itâs bijou (!) and understandably popular. Good range on menu even for non-seafood lovers. We had the lamb which was very tasty. We also had the Devon Sole and Monkfish. All well seasoned and cooked and delicious. Nice variety of sides- the Fries can easily be shared between two. One improvement would be more to have some fish available filleted. Service was very helpful and patient. Couldnât change the side served with lamb which is a little unusual. All round though, a lovely place- even if the uncooperative weather didnât allow us to enjoy what Iâm sure wouldâve been the lovely views!Hi 852BinduaThanks for this great review. We are so happy you enjoyed your visit. Our chef creates the specials with locally sourced ingredients that he feels compliment each other however he is always willing to adjust dishes to suit your requirements. Iâm sorry if you were told that you couldnât on this occasion however in future this wont be a problem. In regards to the fish, we have a lovely selection of whole and portioned fish. We like to serve some of our fresh fish whole as one it maximises the flavour of the fish when it is cooked on the bone and two it encourages our customers to get involved with the produce and have a go at filleting a fish themselves. In future please do ask us as if the chef is not too busy he will happily fillet the fish for you before cooking it. We look forward to seeing you again

Stopped off at the Oystercatchers today (not for the first time) for a latte coffee and a bacon sandwich. Inside was packed, so, it being a glorious day, I ordered and then sat outside at a table on the footway. I was prepared for a long wait, owing to it being so busy, but just over five minutes from ordering to delivery to my table was a real surprise. Service was efficient and very friendly with lots of smiley faces. Will definitely return again soon!

Come in for tea, the conversation is free! Party bookings welcome. We serve loose tea with old fashioned tea sets. We sell also sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes and a selection of cakes.
I visited this resturant with a friend on a Saturday morning whilst exploring the pretty town of Teignmouth. I had the full English which had two sausages, two bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and tiny bite sized hash browns. The scrambled eggs tho were really very, very good. We were served by the lovely young lady whoâs real name is Kitten !!All in all a good little find!!

Traditional fish and chip shop take away and eat in cafe. Open all day every day during school holidays. We look forward to your visit to the Jolly Good Fish Cafe in Teignmouth.
Me and a couple friends ventured deep into the Teignmouth backstreets after a wonderful day in the sea. We were all absolutely ravenous and fancied some classic seaside fish and chips, which is how we stumbled across this establishment. We went in and the gentleman behind the counter was incredibly welcoming. He asked us how our day was and made us feel welcome. The waitress in the restaurant, Mia I believe her name is, was incredibly kind and warm and was excellent at serving us. She was very easy to talk to and very efficient at her job, it made our experience 10x better! As for the food itself, it was incredibly high quality for the price. My local chip shop is far lower in quality yet still higher in price. If you want great value for money, the Jolly Good Fish Cafe is the place for you. I had the calamari which was utterly Divine, and I couldnât get enough of the chips and curry sauce. All in all it was very high quality, I was blown away!Iâm yet to find a better fish and chip shop establishment in Teignmouth, I will definitely be going back for more Calamari!Hi, your detailed review is really appeciated and I will ensure Mia receives your great feedback...she is very professional and is a joy to employ. Hopefully see you again soon from Nik and the team.

Restaurat/Takeaway or outdoor seating with fantastic River Teign views, situated on the River/back beach.Open from 10am to 5pm (longer hours during the summer), weather dependent
Visited with adults and children. Really good, friendly service. The food is off the scale. So so full of flavour. The view from the beach front location is out of this world. Will definitely be coming here again and again.

Been here a few times. Decent range of lunch and light snacks and cakes. We chose a Chilli Jacket Potato and a Baguette with egg and bacon. Plus teas.Service polite and served teas at right time, just before meals. Both lunches were well presented and tasty. So it would be 5/5, however.... Couple of negatives.1. Allowed dogs to roam around without a lead. One was sick and then proceeded to eat it! Think about allergies and other customers. You should have a lead policy. 2. Ran out of cakes at 2pm. Yet no mention to us or any other customers that they do waffles with different toppings. You lost trade!

Always go by your recommendations so when I entered best Sunday lunch and Orestone Manor came up I booked I was advised the time shiw on there site was incorrect and we were booked in at 12.15 lunch time I stated I was allergic to Black peppers he went away to the Chef then came back to us saying all of there Sunday roasts were drenched in pepper all night and the roast potatoes I have never come across this before as they were advertising the roasts Beef, pork Chicken you would have thought that one of the three would have been supplied without adding pepperes I had to end up with fish for Sunday lunch not what I wanted I think they should advertise that they add these allergic items so people are aware Graham Thurston the fish was very good and the serviceWe are please you enjoyed the fish and service. Our website does clearly state our dinning times . However as with all restaurants time slots do get booked up. It sounds to me 12.15 was the only time slot we had available when you booked. I see from your booking that you booked through open table ( a third party booking agent). If you had phoned us directly we would have asked if you had any dietary requirements. We would have been more than happy to accommodate your pepper allergy had we known. Unfortunately the nature of a roast is the preparation beforehand hence the inflexibility. The Orestone Manor does always try to accommodate all allergies but it is best that we know upon booking. We do hope we can welcome you back to The Orestone but please phone us directly next time.
