Ordered drinks and food at the counter but when asked for table number I explained it was quite busy and being alone couldn't find one until I sat down.Drinks are made in order and taken to the table and there was quite a long wait due to lack of staff and limited coffee machine capacity. The food and drinks were fine one they eventually arrived but the whole experience was poor in my opinion. No other competition in this area so take it or leave it I suppose. It did get very busy near lunchtime so be prepared for a long wait or better still, take a picnic and enjoy it outside the the lovely country park.

Away for a short break, We were delighted that we chose to spend our evening at Tawnyâs. The menu was inspiring and the food very much lived up to its promise. The pea and courgette pakora with spiced yoghurt dressing was outstanding Which I followed with the lamb, which was quite possibly the nicest I have ever tasted...the jus was delicious ... as were the vegetables which were cooked perfectly to retain flavour and bite. Although full to bursting, I would not have had a sweet course, but couldnât resist the blueberry panna cotta which was everything Iâd hope it might be. I am almost 70 yrs and have eaten in the very best places throughout the world, and can honestly say the food that this restaurant was up there amongst the best. Proof being that we booked a table for another night before we leave.

The perfect place in Purbeck for lunch, vintage afternoon teas, Traditional Sunday Roast Beef and, by arrangement, private dining in the evening too too!!! Come dine with us in vintage splendour. Sip tea in our pretty garden. Our food is always fresh and
Having read the reviews we managed to plan our walk so that we could finish at the tearoom in the middle of the afternoon (they have fairly limited opening hours). It's in a quaint building opposite the village green with a nice garden out the back. In addition to the scones and cakes they sell a range of local produce. The fruit scone and clotted cream were excellent but the stand out option was the chocolate chip scone with chocolate sauce. This came with a rich hot chocolate covered in mini marshmallows. It can get busy so try to book if you can. The mobile reception in the area is very poor so try to ring ahead.

We were recommended this restaurant while eating in another nice restaurant. We were not disappointed. Very nice welcome on arrival. Very nice food and the puddings are amazing. I had soup and a lamb dish and strawberry pavlova my partner had a fish starter and a monkfish dinner..its not cheap but all very nice..somewhere different and was very busy with a nice atmosphere and good service.

We are a local pub that welcomes visitors. Chef Ash rents the kitchen from us and prepares and sources all his meals. He uses mainly local ingredients. We are quite small and so do not have a separate dining room although we do have an area set aside for
Whenever I'm in Swanage (couple of times a year for diving) I always go into the Globe at least once. I can't help but not. The atmosphere is so friendly, I always feel welcome. The beer selection is always good and well looked after and the food options are very tastey. There's a lovely big beer garden out the back and the bar itself although small is packed with character.I'll go back here again and again whenever I get the opportunity. Being veggie the food options are a little limited but what they lack in variety they make up for in service.Outstanding points for good quality character, service and real beer.Go on in and make some new pals.

Ate here twice during our week in Swanage. It really is essential to book as the place is always busy, even on a Monday evening. The food is very good but the portions are very large and I didn't manage to finish my plate on either night. The service is great and the whole place has a real buzz with the local dog-walkers dropping in for a drink which is great. The fact we booked for a second night of our week's stay says it all.

Great food, Friendly service- perfect for children as they were well accommodated for. We were here last summer and went twice in our weeks holidays but didnât get round to rating it. Was fantastic and would recommend for families as they had high chair for 9 month old (good changing facility with excellent space in loos) Also kids menu was healthy but appealing to our 3 yr old. The fish dishes were a highlight and will return again next time we are down. Worth booking as often busy. Easy to see why this place sits high in ratings. Put it onto your list when In swanage. !

Stopped in for a drink and a sandwich and not disappointed. Lovely location on the pier and the glass wall makes it visible. We were overcharged but it seemed a genuine mistake and was soon put right with no fuss. portions good and service friendly. only one toilet which was for everyone but there is another, less nice, toilet just outside on the pier.
