On average I would say that I visit Miller & Carter once a month with family or friends.Yesterday afternoon, visiting with family, we ordered from the âLunchtimeâ menu and I opted for the rump steak as generally steaks are excellent here. Requesting it be cooked Medium / well, it was disappointing to receive a piece of meat which was not merely âwellâ done but blackened to the point of being carbonised. The onion loaf which accompanied it was crisp and dry to the point of being inedible. I commented to the waitress about both and received an apology and was assured that it would be âbetter next timeâ. So... disappointing overall on this occasion. Restaurant ambience was as good as usual and the drinks were excellent. Hi Colinb831, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your visit. We would like to have a better understanding about your experience. Final meal before my Canadian family head home. Excellent service, very tasty food and they accommodated my two year old granddaughter with pleasure. I live close to this restaurant but do not use it often, but will do in the future. Highly recommended.

A little of the beating track, but we'll worth a visit good home cooked meals,,the Monday night steak night seemed very popular and was very busy, but to be honest I preferred lunch time visit ,whilst it was a little quieter ,and you could soak up the atmosphere,

Cafe/Bistro during the day , Italian kitchen on a evening, set in luxury surroundings, also traditional Sunday roast 12-8PM We have a beautiful cocktail bar & stunning function room which holds 110 guests We offer outside catering & cover the whole North
Visited for dinner with my 81 year old mam. We were served by June and I believe Katya. We had pasta and the special, âCatch of the Dayâ sea bass. I also had spiced broccoli, which was so good! And we shared the caramelised onion garlic bread. And.... sticky toffee pudding! The Scullery food is fabulous. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, perfect for winter nights and candlelit dinner. Weâll be back soon!

We discovered this lovely cafe when googling where to get breakfast in the Sunderland area. The decor is quaint and quirky, the service was excellent and friendly. We all had full English breakfasts, which were well cooked and excellent value, with bottomless tea! The whole place is immaculately clean, and only a short walk from the sea front. Would definitely return.

This is our favourite restaurant of all of the places weâve eaten in the UK. Food and service of the highest quality every time we visit. I had the Chicken Tarragon and my wife had the Hake Paella. Both dishes were prepared to perfection. Every member of staff was amazing too. We canât wait to return

Comfortable, tasteful decor with great music playing. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Good range of dishes at very reasonable prices.Mediterranean pasta with chicken was delicious, very tasty and piping hot from the kitchen. Cumberland curl and mash equally delicious. This came with very tasty gravy and a small amount of crispy leeks. (An extra vegetable served with this may be a good idea)Chocolate brownie with ice cream and a white chocolate and lime pie with cream were both very nice. Will definitely return
