An excellent experience. The reserved table was well located, the staff responsive, and best of all, my very particular dietary requirements were dealt with calmly, with the allergens table carefully consulted to make sure there were no mishaps.Dear Richard E, Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor, It is great to hear that the staff looked after you and your group for your annual get together and all your dietary requirement were met, we do hope that you will return next year, Kind regards Paul & Team

Stay at this inn for 3 days. Had breakfast every morning, great Full English Breakfast. The pub was great. Nice dinning area to the rear of the inn. Fantastic outside garden area with tables. Best garden area in Stockbridge! FYI, if you're tall.... beware of the low beams!

The Tally Ho is a perfectly situated English Country Pub in the heart of the idyllic Village of Broughton, near Stockbridge. Located along the Clarendon Way in the stunning Test Valley, the pub offers a great place to stop for walkers, fishermen, visitors
We had been meaning to visit for a while on the strength of having had the Cheese Soufflé already. We were not disappointed with the food, which was excellent and way above what you expect in a local pub, which is what The Tally Ho still is.Very good food in a friendly pub, we will return again.

Visited here to meet someone and had a Mocha coffee and a pain au chocolat whilst there.Young, enthusiatic and friendly staff served me quickly and couldn't have been nicer.Lots of local produce for sale together with other quality products and a fish shop next door. The coffee was excellent.....

Quiet country pub. A selection of ever changing real ales, Estrella, Carlsberg, Guinness, Thatchers and Orchard Haze. Homely, tasty food, lovingly prepared by our cook. Simple but delicious. Small family business, a warm welcome to all, Including our four
We were on our way home from Mottisfont and came across this pub.As it was lunch time, the 4 of us decided to stop for a meal. I went in before we parked the car to ask if they could accommodate us and was told we would have to wait about half an hour.On that basis, we were happy to take a table and enjoy a drink, which we did.We ordered a portion of whitbait to be shared by 2 of us and 4 main courses, 2 of which were omelettes, 1 sausage and mash and 1 fish and chips.50 minutes later, our starter arrived at the same time time as the 4 mains., which was not great considering we had waited so long.I had a mouthful of the whitetbait but then left the rest in order to not let my main course get cold.My partners mushroom omelette looked awful as it was obviously overcooked. The chips served looked as though they had been cooked earlier and re fried because they too were over cooked. I had mash with my sausages which was OK except for the insipid gravy which I was told was ham gravy.... really? All in all the meal was a total disappointment for all of us. Although the whitebait was taken off the bill because I complained that it should have been served in advance of the main meals, we all said that we would never return.I am sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. We did explain that we were busy and that there would be a lengthy wait as the kitchen was busy.Unfortunately your order was made at the bar in 2 parts without specifying that the whitebait was a starter hence why the kitchen made all meals to come out together. The chips are freshly prepared and cooked although after cutting the potato we blanch as part of our process. We find that this produces the best hand cut chip possible.Everything in our kitchen is made from fresh and the omlettes are made to order. Once again I apologise that you did not enjoy your visit. We stayed in Stockbridge and met a colleague here for dinner one evening. Short drive from our inn @ Three Cups. Nice pub in a quiet area. Great outdoor seating in the front. They do have outdoor seating in the back, but we didn't go there.

This is our local pub... and itâs lovely. Staff always friendly and food service quick. Good selection of drinks, nice atmosphere too.. thereâs a small beer garden for sunny days. Dogs are welcome inside too, in the front bar area. Food is of a good standard and solid British pub grub, avoid the steak ( tough) and roast dinners are a little on the lean side but other than that most things on the menu are great... the cheesy chips are to die for!!! They do need to vary their menus a bit more though...itâs been the same menu all year! But to be fair there are also a few daily specials.
