Sunday lunch with family need to book has does get busy .friendly clean and choice of courses . presentation good .meats were on the chewy side could be better and more tender and better tastier thicker gravy like any where never seem to get it right.nice selection of vegetables and in dishes .overall ok .Hi maryblondie,Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We appreciate your feedback and sorry to hear that all the meats weren't to your parties liking. This review was brought to the attention of the rest of the team working on Sunday and they all mentioned how lovely your table was and that there was no negative feedback, so I was a bit surprised by your negative comments.I do wish that you had brought the matter to our attention when you were table checked, as we would have done our best to address any issues at the time and rectify them.We do hope you visit again in the near future, many thanks,Suzanne.

Sunday morning offered bottomless proccceco at £25pp with our breakfast. We de cloned the offer especially at about 10.45am. So we both had a large breakfast with toast and a pot of tea. I had my egg poached TOH had hers fried. They did apologise about the no lids on the tea pot due to them being smashed. On the whole nice breakfast good service. I think you could have the same for cheaper in Shrewbury. £10pp for the breakfast.

My husband and I visited the Haughmond for the second time. We were totally delighted with our meal, the staff were very friendly and we cant wait to go back again. The flavours, the display on the plate were absolutely fabulous, The table was nice and big for two people which sometimes is a problem in restaurants, but we were very happy with the space provided. We will be returning for the Christmas menu again this year, having experienced it last December and it was amazing.

As always a really fab country pub...no plastic food here. Varied menu and our food was so delicious. We chose Duck with Spiced Apricots...interesting varied vegetables ...a great choice. The Black Forest Pavlova (chocolate, cherries, meringue whatâs not to like. Plus our favourite staff on that lunch on Weds. Book and visit ...always lovely. Thank you all...

We met friends here for dinner at their suggestion - it was recommended to them as a good authentic pub and didnât disappoint. Total 8 of us including 4 kids. Perhaps not the best choice on a busy Saturday night for families, but the staff were super friendly, the food tasty from a typical pub menu and relatively quick service, given how busy. We had booked a table a few days before and were surprised when asked to pre-order our food, but it worked out. We wouldnât have got a table otherwise as it was so busy. I think most people would go here just for drinks.

This place is really something special. The open kitchen bespeaks confidence, which continues in the warm welcome from the young and committed team. Great focus on local ingredients, fresh ideas beautifully presented and portion size spot on. Espresso martini was perfectly judged. A lovely birthday meal, we'll be back.

Atmosphere is at the heart of the experience we provide. At first glance The Dolphin appears to be your typical, well-kept 19 th century alehouse. However, walk through the doors and youâll find that thereâs more to this road side boozer than meets the ey
Visited this pub after reading the brilliant TripAdvisor reviews. We were certainly not dissapointed! We couldn't have had a nicer welcome from the staff and the selection of food abd drinks were fantastic. We decided on the buttermilk chicken and Korean fried chicken with vietnemese fries. All of which were outstanding. It was a lovely day so sat outside on the sunny terrace. Thanks again to all the friendly staff. We wish we lived closer so could visit more often! Thanks so much Thomas, sorry for the slow reply, I'm just reading through our reviews now and it's been lovely to read such nice comments. We hope that even though it's a bit of a journey you'll be happy to join us again soon!!
