Find out what British restaurants to try in Seaham. Seaham, formerly Seaham Harbour, is a small town in County Durham, situated 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Sunderland and 13 miles (21 km) east of Durham. It has a small parish church, St Mary the Virgin, with a late 7th century Anglo Saxon nave resembling the church at Escomb in many respects. St Mary the Virgin is one of the 20 oldest surviving churches in the UK. Seaham is currently twinned with the German town of Gerlingen.

Had been here several times previously and food was OK. Today chips were stripey brown and basically inedible. Did not realise too much in shop light. Outside became evident they were of poor quality. Ate only a couple of whole chips and a few bites around the edges of some others. Nearly whole box went to the starlings.Never will visit again. I waited such a long time just for chips and could not eat as bad tasting. Waste of time and money. Also this place is overpriced for small portions and poor quality. I had stopped eating fish from here as was always very dry and not juicy, like the other fish shops I go to. The chips were usually alright from here, but after today will not be frequenting again.

Seaton Lane Inn is open all day, every day offering laid back dining with delicious, homemade fare, a welcoming bar and comfortable boutique-style en suite accommodation.
I'd driven past this place a few times. We decided to drop by before heading to the cinema. The staff are very attentive, polite and friendly. This place is order at the bar service so do not expect someone to take your order (this isn't a problem for us but I know some people prefer table service) . I had the risotto. It wasn't the most flavourful risotto I've had but it was nice. I did decide on a dessert, the Eton mess was lovely!I'd eat here again. The atmosphere was lovely!

Four of us eat here and two of us had sea food which they all enjoyed. I had the fillet. It was fine but I have had better. It was a little too well cooked despite a detailed conversation with waiter. However that is a discussion itâs not always possible to get right. The forth member of our party had the minute steak and enjoyed it.The service was excellent and the coffee liqueurs were excellent and naughty.

We visited Clean Bean for breakfast as a family on an impromptu trip to Seaham. We parked outside, sat in the window and enjoyed a splendid breakfast. I didnât realise the sausages were gluten free until I asked where they came from. It was that good. Wonderful. Go there. Great breakfast.
