A traditional cafe but somehow the decor manages to marry up sophisticated chic with country cottage. The service is outstanding and the food delicious.
Stopped in Sandbach for alternative Motorway services. As this has a 5 score on the door we tried it. It's small, so bear this in mind if you have a buggy. Nice tea and cake. As others have said definitely more a tea shop. Convenient for the car park and a little look at the crosses.

Dv8 At The Black Bear, located right in the heart of historic Sandbach, is a cocktail and wine bar which serves excellent food throughout the day.
This was the first visit to this bar/ restaurant and first impressions was good.It was a bank holiday weekend Sunday to be precise whilst this should be no excuse for the very poor experience we had.The venue was busy so we tolerated the long wait for our food order to arrive. When it did arrive two of the food orders was the super food salad with king prawns this should have included avocado beetroot and quinoa with a honey dressing, it didnât It consisted of kale spinach with a sprinkle of quinoa. We did bring this to the attention of the waitress and she went back to the kitchen to let the chef know to which we was brought a plate of avocado along with some beetroot and dressing. My partner was very disappointed with the lack of ingredients so asked for it to be taken away.Another member of the party had the Sunday lunch which did not have the vegetables brought to the table until halfway through the meal,This was also brought to the attention of the staff. We did let the bar/ restaurant know of our concerns and when the bill came they did deduct the food that was returned but there was no apology and the waiter who brought the bill was very unsympathetic and quite abrupt. We would not recommend this place and will not be returning all it needed was an apology.

Booked for a birthday celebration. Staff were polite and smiling. Took our drinks order and we were served promptly. Ordered starters and mains. Varied dishes. Deep fried Brie, King Prawn curry, King Prawn in Filo etc. All very nice, lovely flavours. Mains, Seafood pancake, Chicken Stir Fry, Beef Stroganoff, Beef dinner etc. Each was beautifully done and a good sized portion. Ordered three rounds of drinks. All arrived promptly. (Glad to see they've stopped the 'orange slices with everything'). Grand evening and will definitely return.

Lovely ambience and decor....staff were great, Iâve heard the rooms are beautiful, however I thought the food was just average . Had the deli boards and although the effort was made to present the food correctly, I just felt it was a little bland, I would go back to try other things off the menu to give this place a second chance as itâs a .great place to socialise and drink .

We really enjoyed the good food and friendly, attentive service. All the food choices were very good quality and the presentation was of a high standard. However, we were very surprised that the prices on the menu did not include VAT, so the overall cost of the meal was an unpleasant surprise. In particular it meant that the Filet Mignon was nearly £40 which was disappointing for a relatively small piece of this special steak. The ribeye steak would be better value.Dear WestlowjackVery pleased that you enjoyed the food, ambience and your experience at The Yellow Broom. Our prices are all fully inclusive of VAT. Your Filet Mignon were charged at £29.95 as per our menu. However at the bottom of your final bill our system analysis the VAT content, not an additional charge as you have suggested in your review. We add nothing further to our listed prices, just a free mint humbug and of course a big smile.Look forward to welcoming you back soon for one of our excellent rib steaks.
