I recall going to this restaurant years ago when it was Reeds, at the time it was one of the best in the area, sadly its lost its shine and become very average.Menu is ok, prices ok, food ok but nothing outstanding, service pretty poor even when the restaurant is near empty.I dont think I will bother to return, there are far better options locally and nothing really to bring me back here. Such a shame as it could be a great place, the venue itself is nice with potential for greatness.

Every time Iâve been there, the bar service has been great. All up until we meet the grey haired elder chap (compared to the rest) who is one rude wave of misery! I believe he is the manager (or at least he thinks he is) and he sucks the life out of every experience of being in there. God bless those (great) people who have to work with him. Get rid of him and youâve got a perfect boozer.Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that on this occasion you only deemed us a three star. The team has a fantastic working relationship with our Manager and he is integral to what makes the pub such a great place to be. I hope that on future visits this will be evident for you to see.

11 family and friends gathered at 1830 to celebrate a Birthday. The staff were exceptional. The barman was also the waiter and sommelier. He was very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The young waitress was equally efficient and friendly. The range of food on offer catered for all the group. When each course arrived it seemed to get better and better. Everything was perfect, we will definitely return soon. Before we knew it 10pm had arrived and it was time to take our leave.Well done to all concerned, especially the chef who we did not actually get to thank, and anyone else in the kitchen. The owners can be proud of you all M

Originally a traditional coaching inn set in the heart of Royal Wootton Bassett, The Angel is now a fully modern hotel providing superb, en-suite accommodation, a traditional bar and delicious, locally-sourced food.
Not sure what really to say as could just go on with lots of negatives. Must have been a bad hair day as all the staff were miserable, scruffy and seemed like they didn't want to be there (apart from the young lady serving) Food was mediocre at best and a bit undercooked - but finding a hair made me gag. They don't wear hair nets in the kitchen I noticed. I did get an apology and a free glass of wine.Hello again Mia M,Thank you for your 3rd review, (plus your partner's reviews), although, both of you have been here only once over two years ago. Why would you keep going again and again to the same place, where you keep finding hair in food, under cooked food, bad service and lots negatives? And yes, our kitchen staff doesn't wear hair nets, and so doesn't 95% of the whole country's kitchen staff, including, the only place that you ever gave a positive review, (not far from us), which by the way has 32 microwaves installed, indefinite number of freezers and all under 18 internet trained kitchen staff. We here at the Angel are people, and sometimes we have a bad hair day, but after reading your TripAdvisor history, you seem to have a bad day hair day every time you go out.I am looking forward to your next review, it will be our third anniversary. If you and your partner pop in for real this time, we will celebrate.Kindest regardsAldo

Overall, from start to finish it was very poor. Especially when the place has just been re- vamped. I would have thought that they want people through the door. Management and chefâs need a lot of training. It must be embarrassing for the serving staff that work here. Especially with reports that we read before we visited were the same, by people we know.It opened with a councillor a few weeks ago, then it seems to have gone downhill fast.We sat down and ordered, 30 min later told that 1 steak had to be changed.Main meal taking almost an hour to come out. Then 2 of the steaks were cold when they got to the table. The amount of food on the plate was poor. My fillet steak was Luke warm, just about edible. This is the 1st time Iâve eaten here for 20 years. After this episode, it will be another 20 years. Unless I get some good reports. I do live locally to this restaurant/ pub.I would definitely not recommend here.Hi Christopherho29, I would like to get some more details about your experience with us. This is my local. Met up with a friend for dinner and drinks. Service was outstanding the two young ladies working that evening were very friendly and so lovely. Food was really good and well priced. I couldnât finish my dinner and they kindly put it in a container for me to take home. Their suggestion not mine. A lovely place to go for drinks and food. Have been a few times with friends for lunch, dinner and drinks...last time was with a girlie group for a catch up over dinner. The menu is good, however there are fewer choices than previously available, but still a top notch burger, and have had a decent Sunday roast in there too! The staff were excellent as usual, even moved us to a quiet little room at the front so we could continue chattering while the karaoke was going on. Really comfortable place to spend time, good choice of drinks, friendly staff and nice atmosphere!Thank you for your very kind review and we are so pleased to hear you had a great night! We are also very happy to let you know that we have a new menu being developed with lots of new goodies and extras for you and your friends to enjoy so be on the look out for that!

Great, tasty and filling breakfast. I had the big breakfast whilst my mate had the slightly smaller one and we both devoured it as it was so good.Great service from the young ladies who were very customer orientated. We will definitely return if in Bassett again.

Lovely cheery pub with great service.Only serves food on two evenings ( Tuesday/Wednesday) but we were in luck to get a table.Really superb Scotch eggs- both veggie and meat.Lovely crispy crumb coating, soft boiled egg and my sausage meat was mixed with flecks of black pudding- delicious.Haven't had scotch egg in years and this was one of best ever.Good merlot. No complaints.

A cosy pub serving fresh food in our Harrison oven, with ingredients from our families organic farms and local artisan suppliers. We are located in the unique National trust village of Coleshill on the Coleshill & Buscot estate. We serve primarily a Briti
We, and another couple, regularly dine out together in the local area and recently we decided to support the Radnor Arms which has been undergoing refurbishment. We booked a table two weeks prior to our visit knowing that there would be a limited menu due to a new kitchen being installed. On arrival we were informed that the only option for food was a buffet at £20 a head and that we should have been contacted by phone to inform us of this. We werenât. On entering the restaurant the table which we had booked was occupied by six other people and the only table available was a very small round one which would only be suitable for two diners. The lady in charge did not offer to ask the occupants of âour tableâ to move. When we said that we would leave and find somewhere else to eat we only received a rather half-hearted apology. Donât think we will be back!
