We came for a set choice menu for a family special birthday celebration on Sunday afternoon. The ambiance was very good, comfortable & relaxing and we were made very welcome. The food was delicious and generous servings. I had a tasty prawn cocktail, roast beef with trimmings & Eton mess for dessert. Good wines choice too. We were made welcome & service was excellent but not rushed. Catered for 3 children in our party too. We sat back & enjoyed a lovely family gathering - there were 17 of us altogether.. Will definitely return when next in Ramsgate & would recommend for any occasion. Dear vivijay9Thank you for your wonderful review. What a pleasure to read. We are glad that you enjoyed your lunch on the special occasion and that we looked after you. I will pass your comments onto the staff and look forward to your return.Warm regardsRosey

As my partners family are from ramsgate I have been in this pub many times, for drinks, for meals and for family occasions. The owners and staff are so friendly and the service is excellent. Food is always lovely and value for money . We recently held my mother-in-laws wake in the function room at the rear and the staff couldnât of been more helpful , turning a tragic family moment into a beautiful family gathering........Thank you so much !

This has opened in the last week. Google still shows the former restaurant here called Cornish Pasty Co.
Being an elderly man who has eaten many fish and chip meals I consider that I am well qualified to judge it's qualityI have no hesitation in recommending this shop. the chips are excellent together with the battered fish making it a perfect meal for any one who likes quality food.

We love visiting The Galley for our breakfast when we stay at the nearby large chain hotel. I honestly canât think of anywhere else that does a better breakfast. The ingredients are excellent quality, the service is excellent, the view over the harbour is excellent. The owner and staff are just so friendly, and itâs reasonably priced.

Village Pub & Kitchen
Tried this pub after a couple of years absence. Sadly it has changed hands and the menu is pretty basic and picking what to eat was difficult. No specials board. Desserts were limited choice too. Pub very noisy and the sound does travel through to the restaurant. Also sat at a table which was not fit for purpose. Very small in height compared to the others. Nice enough staff but we wont be going back.

Traditional British Tea Rooms, serving breakfasts, lunches and Afternoon Teas for the past 20 years.
£25 for their high tea was one of the most expensive I have ever paid. The food was of good quality and too much for us to eat. Having said that, there was barely enough clotted cream and jam to cover my scone, it had to be carefully arranged. They weren't that busy, but felt slightly forgotten about. It was generally ok, but very overpriced which was a shame. We are sorry you were 'disappointed' with your recent visit to Corby's. We are surprised you feel £12.50 per person is expensive as previous feedback suggests we are not charging enough for our good quality and plentiful tea. It is our policy to tell people when they arrive for the High Tea, that if they require anything to just ask and we also ask once during their visit if everything is okay - otherwise we like to leave people in peace so they can enjoy their food and each others company. We do hope you will visit again. Thank you Paul & Sue

Part of the fabulous Royal Harbour Hotel, the 40 cover Empire Room restaurant serves great food using fresh local ingredients in a charming club like setting.
Not a review I wanted write about an independent Thanet restaurant. After being recommended by friends and looking at trip advisor reviews we decided to pay a visit. After arriving we went down to the basement were one of two sets of customers. The place was dusty , damp and filthy and that was kind . This is unacceptable . Wonkey paintings on the walls and an attractive view of a bin and messy desk were a delightful treat. Some would call it eccentric , I call it poor management. We decided to persevere though as the food could have been good. Soon the other couple left and we were the only ones there. The young lady serving did her best but the music and decor wereso depressing and my friends decided to get some fresh air before they choked in the damp , dusty and depressing atmosphere. What then happened was just appalling. Whoever was in the kitchen was swearing so loudly and repeatedly that it created a really unexpected spit and sawdust experience. Iâm not precious but I was with my wife and daughter. It was offensive to say the least.I was so shocked we approached the waitress paid for the drinks and left. MA sad end to a wholly extremely disappointing experience.. We wonât be going again.

We popped here as it was the only place we could find in Ramsgate with a vegan menu. We expected tofish and chips and were really looking forward to trying it. And then we saw the menu... The vegan menu is huge!! Vegan kebabs, sausages, battered sausages, fish cakes, pies, and lots more! Then there's the gluten free menu and the 'normal' menu. It's amazing! You can sit in, even our dog was welcome inside, or take away. The owner was so friendly. The service was fab. The food was great. What a good idea to batter tofu with seaweed. It's reminiscent of fish and chips if that's what you are looking for, but not too close if you don't like fish. The chips were yum, not oily at all. And we had extra 'tapas' salads as part of the meal which were unexpected but really tasty. Also have soya milk so the tea went down well Our dog was looked after too with water and a sausage, he was a very happy boy!
