This Inn is sat in the most beautiful countryside in the middle of Dartmoor. It was perfect for our walking holiday. Room and beds were very comfortable. We had our favourite table saved for us each evening which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was nicely cooked though I would have liked yogurt and fruit to be on offer ideally. The owners and staff were very friendly and we appreciated the biscuits and extra milks for our flask! All in all a great value and welcoming Inn.

The Royal Oak Inn is a free house owned by Burrator Parish Council. It is situated within the Dartmoor National Park, in an idyllic location next to the village green in Meavy. The pub is a former 15th-century church house inn. It takes its name from the
Popular village pub with visitors. Food is mostly standard pub grub with a few interesting meals on the Specials board. Limited parking near the pub.

A historic quintessential country pub. We offer a rotating selection of local real ale and cider, served alongside quality, flavoursome country pub food. With an open fire and a log burner, it is welcoming to all including children and dogs. Located on Da
I wrote a 5 * star review when the Wacky re-opened a few years back - describing the massive potential it had. It's emphatically delivered on every occasion I have visited since. Great drink selection, amazing food, and, perhaps, most importantly, brilliant service and customer care. The owners and staff are passionate about your personal experience within its 4 walls. Throw in the multiple BBQS, food and drink festivals and live music - and you have a pub that offers the quintessential English country pub experience!

This welcoming and friendly hotel was the perfect escape for my husband and I. The food is fantastic (breakfast and dinner) locally sourced and seasonal. The hotel room was roomy and the bed huge and comfortable. The views from the front of the house are gorgeous and it is in a great location for walking and enjoying Dartmoor's natural beauty. The hotel is dog and family friendly but also very accomodating if you'd rather have a quieter dinner. It feels like you are being welcomed into someone's home rather than on edge/your bestest behaviour in a posher hotel.

Award winning AA Rosette restaurant filled with wonderful character and ambience. Whether enjoying a stay with us, stopping for lunch whilst walking on the moor, popping in for a cream tea, or planning a special night out, guests will always be treated to
While touring Dartmoor on a month long sojourn in the UK. we chose to take Sunday lunch at this restaurent and were not disappointed. The food was competently prepared ; very tasty and generous in proportion. .Service was prompt, friendly and welcoming. They were willing to serve my wife a lovely vegetarian option without added cost.the surroundings and ambiance were excellent. When leaving we met local horseback riders in the parking lot who turned out to be from the farm adjacent to our wonderful B&B across the moor. We got an invitation to visit.Overall a pleasant surprise which completed our visit which exceeded our expectations.

Sunday lunch for 7 people. Really relaxed atmosphere, in a dog friendly pub. Good pub food which was really satisfying after a morning walking on the moors. Excellent beef Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Sweets were also great. A really good place for Sunday lunch.

Second time have visited with a group on tour for the day and what an amazing stop-off. Fabulous setting (views coming in from Tavistock and heading off to Yelverton are truly superb); very friendly and attentive service from this family run establishment and of course the food! Breakfasts are of excellent quality and quantity with not a dried-up bean in sight. Soup and ploughmanâs were very good too. Excellent seating outside and clean facilities with good parking. If you are passing through Princetown and are looking for refreshments I would very much recommend- very reasonable prices too.

I havenât visited the Plume for sometime, I was disappointed. Camping in my opinion is pricey. The charge per person, as opposed to a tent pitch. They now serve breakfast which isnât good value for money and I wouldnât recommend.I ate in the pub and expected good pub grub and I was disappointed, the food wasnât great. The prices across the board all seem to have gone up - food and drinks. I appreciate you have the monopoly of Princetown, but it didnât deliver for the money you pay.

After a lively early morning ride across Dartmoor, we popped into the Fox Tor Cafe in Princetown. With ample parking to the rear of the cafe and ideally situated for a mid Dartmoor stopOff Iâll definitely be coming here again. Super friendly ladies serving and they quickly served us up a âgo largeâ breakfast. It comes with fruit juice and a coffee or tea all for about £8! Absolutely cracking value for money. Really impressive. Thanks guys.

We were staying in a nearby hotel and were out for a walk with the dog. We stopped in here for a drink. There is a restaurant and bar both of which looked nice and inviting. If we were here for longer we would definitely give the food a try. As it was we had some drinks and had a pleasant time sitting in the beer garden across the road. A nice girl came out and gave the dog a treat but didnât seem interested in enforcing their stated âdogs on leadsâ policy. There were a couple of wee yappie mongrels running loose much to everyoneâ annoyance but no one seemed to care. The drinks were on the pricey side which might explain why it was quiet on an otherwise busy with people, warm, sunny Saturday afternoon. Thanks for the review. Glad you stopped by and were able to enjoy our lovely garden on what has lately been a rare sunny afternoon. We do ask for dogs to be kept on leads in the garden and our drinks are very fairly priced we believe for location & quality. We hope you will stop by again if you are in the area.
