My accommodation was very new and comfortable. Far above what I would expect at a pub. This was the best shower I have experienced in England. I also had a very nice vegetarian meal. There's a very lively scene in the pub, but it didn't disturb me in my room.

a brand new farm shop that opened in 2016 featuring a large selection of Devon made produce, including fresh veg on friday, hot meals, frozen meat, alcoholic drinks including beers, wines and cider, soft drinks, snacks and miscellaneous craft items.
You'd be a fool to visit Devon and not make a stop at The Cider Vat in Sampford Courtney (nr Okehampton). Fantastic range of local produce, delicious cakes and superb cider made from the apples grown on site. Dogs and children were welcomed, and the service was really second to none. Perfect for those wanting a taste of a real Devonshire farm.Thank you Becci for a lovely review, I am glad you enjoyed yourself.

Woody & Carolyn welcome you to The Kings Arms, South Zeal, a traditional local pub which is over 500 years old. We are open all day, everyday, offering a fine resting place for locals & visitors alike. Our selection of real ales is accredited by the CAMRA
Good selection of beers.Staff did not ask how the food was. I believe this is because they already know the answer!I was very disappointed with the lack of salad in the burger. The microwaved bun could of been of more use as General Building Material in the construction of houses!Would definitely not eat here again, food did not appear to be prepared by someone who enjoyed there job!Very sorry to hear this, it is not what we would expect and not in keeping with our normal practice as our other reviews would suggest. As it is not clear when you visited we will speak to all our staff - we do ask that they check all customers once their food has been served - however if you had alerted them to the fact that you werenât happy they would have done their best to rectify the situation at the time. We will also speak to our kitchen staff to ensure we continue to meet the high standards that our customers expect from us. I am sorry to hear you wonât be visiting us again as I do believe this was a one-off, unusual situation, which we would have preferred to resolve at the time. Kind regards, Carolyn (Landlady)

Took my dad here yesterday lunchtime. Heâd been a number of times before, but my first. A nice welcome banter from the jovial barman/owner. We ate in the bar. Both had starters and main courses from a short menu which had something for everyone. All were fresh, tasty and good portions. The ham hock terrine and the scotch egg starters were particularly good. Cost was reasonable for the area. I would definitely recommend and would come again.Dear Peterj2010Thank you for your lovely review of The Oxenham Arms South ZealWe are so pleased that your Father and yourself enjoyed lunch. We have a completely different menu for evenings of course so hopefully one day you may come and try our evening menu either in the bar or restaurant. Thanks again !Lyn and Simon PowellThe Oxenham Arms South Zeal
Booked a Sunday lunch at the Lamb on our arrival in Ilfracombe and we were even able to reserve a table for the following day. It was wonderful to know that we would not be fighting for a place to eat our Sunday roast. On arrival we sat down at our designated table and got some drinks and told the bar man that we had arrived. Our roast arrived soon afterwards and it was lovely and plentiful. Will definitely be repeating again next year when we are in Ilfracombe again.. Wonderful and enjoyable.

The Tom Cobley Tavern is a small country Tavern which serves the parish of Spreyton and the surrounding area. It is the hub of village life; on most evenings locals meet for a game of darts or cards. Enjoy a relaxing break in a typical unspoilt village lo
We ate an evening meal 5/8/19. We both really enjoyed the food, the service was lovely and all the staff were really friendly. I had the homemade pie and the pastry was exceptional. My wife had the burger, which was homemade as well, she really enjoyed her meal too. Wouldn't hesitate to visit this delightful family pub again

This restaurant chain have recently opened in Okehampton ...after a shaky start [ young staff needing training and long delays as they chatted rather than served ] things are significantly improved. The standard of fish at Graylings is amazing ...so fresh you would think Okehampton is by the sea ! Lovely choice of fish , fishcakes , burgers to eat in [ limited but very clean seating ] or take away . The [ still young ! ] staff were friendly and helpful and efficiently dealt with our order . We can recommend Graylings for high quality fish and chips etc !
