My husband picked the Boars Head for my surprise 50th Birthday party. What a fantastic choice. The function room was big enough but not massive. The food was hot and plentiful and the bar was really well stocked. All of my guests stayed overnight and commented how warm and comfortable the rooms were and in the morning the full English breakfast was delicious. Thanks to Liz and all the staff. They made it a really great night.

Came here after spending the day near by with my partner and his daughter. Greeted by a lovely lady called gill, very nice smiley and polite. I ordered the gammon, partner had the cowboy burger and step daughter had the kids chicken. Salad bar was nice, clean and fresh. Anyway main meal came, horrendous, burnt, cold and just generally not nice food. Not sure what they do to the kids broccoli but burnt black but bits of what seemed like paper was falling of it. Partner picked 2 separate hairs out of his burger! My gammon was that burnt it was rock solid. Anyway we just left it and didnât complain, Gill came back over and asked how the food was whilst clearing the table we said it was horrible and she asked why so we explained ( up until this point gill had been lovely) so off she went with our plates too the kitchen, came back to the table and practically through our bill at us! May I just add that we hadnât even asked for the bill!!! We quietly told her the food was awful we didnât complain once about her service she just ruined it for herself and the whole of harvester in general, there was no need for this. My partner had back stomach all night from the food probably with the copious amounts of oil dripping from his burger. Eww! Anyway wonât return or probably not too any other harvester again! Disappointed. Probably should have read the reviews before I came!!

We have been regulars at the Big Lock for over 20 years. Management has fluctuated over that time. Presently, we were very impressed. Staff polite and pleasant and food excellent value for money. Today we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will return and recommend. Salt and Pepper chicken ..... hot hot hot Hubbie had gammon. Garlic bread starter was homemade with salad and enough for two. Give it a try you will be impressed. Surrounding customers had desserts which looked fantastic but beware!! servings are massive

As a birthday treat, my mum took me to the Fox and Hounds and we throughly enjoyed it. The food was amazing- high quality ingredients and really delicious. The lemon Eaton Mess was to die for! The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable regarding the menu and at the end of the meal, the Manager came to check that everything was good. Canât recommend this place highly enough, especially as it was also dog friendly! Iâd go every day just for the chips alone!

I went with some family and friends for my hen party, and we booked in to the Cosy Tea Room. We shared a mixture of the classic afternoon tea and the gentleman's afternoon tea. All the food was amazing, really fresh and very tasty, and there was plenty of it! After we finished the afternoon tea we stayed on to have drinks until the pub closed. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Really lovely afternoon/evening!

Situated in the picturesque village of Twemlow Green The Yellow Broom is one of Cheshire's best known landmarks & treasured restaurant. Enjoying an idyllic, typically English setting this intriguing building is surrounded by lawns, beautiful secluded gard
We really enjoyed the good food and friendly, attentive service. All the food choices were very good quality and the presentation was of a high standard. However, we were very surprised that the prices on the menu did not include VAT, so the overall cost of the meal was an unpleasant surprise. In particular it meant that the Filet Mignon was nearly £40 which was disappointing for a relatively small piece of this special steak. The ribeye steak would be better value.Dear WestlowjackVery pleased that you enjoyed the food, ambience and your experience at The Yellow Broom. Our prices are all fully inclusive of VAT. Your Filet Mignon were charged at £29.95 as per our menu. However at the bottom of your final bill our system analysis the VAT content, not an additional charge as you have suggested in your review. We add nothing further to our listed prices, just a free mint humbug and of course a big smile.Look forward to welcoming you back soon for one of our excellent rib steaks.
