A beautiful Pub with fantastic food and friendly locals. This was our first visit to our local since moving to the area and unfortunately our last as the Landlady had a terrible attitude towards my wife in front of all the guests, and then proceeded to bad mouth her in the kitchen which we could clearly hear. A terrible shame !!!!

Although a bland and fussy eater, my curiosity was piqued with regards to this meal ... Pies don't always excite me... Mash?.. Who doesn't love a plate of mash ??? ... Liquor ??? I decided to order a 1 & 1, which is 1 pie and 1 serving of mash (other options include 2 & 2 and even a 3 pie option... ) Knowing my fussiness, I decided to ask for my liquor in a separate pot.. This turned out to be a wise move as I personally didn't like it x ( but was given some gravy to accompany the meal ). Although I am not a fond lover of a pie... I have to say this was a beautiful pie .... I had come to realise (whilst eating this pie)... That the reason why I am not fond of pies, is due to the heavy stodgy feeling they leave in your stomach after having eaten one....but not this one .. This pie was tasty, light and very satisfying ... I was full but in a light way.. I could move comfortably afterwards ... And I stayed full for ages... My overall experience was a lovely relaxed one.. The owner and staff member was very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble... During conversation I found out the origins of this meal and its history, which I found very interesting.... So thank you for my pleasant experience .... So if you find yourself in the vicinity of Long Sutton and feeling peckish... Then pop in.... You won't be disappointed .. Thanks for your really positive and informative review! We realise that Liquor is a rather âMarmiteâ experience and of course offer a standard gravy.....just in case. Our main aim is satisfaction. Iâm glad you chose to try us and we welcome you to return :) Donât forget to order gravy at the till :)

Went today. New menu. Food fantastic. Staff as always just lovely. Didnât ever think anybody could care about the Granary as much as Dana. But I was wrong. As Sheena and Donald are really really trying and succeeding.

Had a lovely meal on Wednesday 2nd August to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Scallops, Lamb Rump and White Chocolate Pannacotta! Coupled with a small...but...well put together Gin & Tonic list (Warner Edwards ) and a phenomenal Dessert Wine. All 6 of us loved our meals and would deffo go back again. My only tip. If you're serving decent Gins, make sure the Garnish matches. A bruised, thin slice of Lime ain't the way to serve a Warner Edwards!! On the whole, a strong 9/10!!

Went to the tea room on our way home. Vintage tea room with mis matched China. Scone was warm, always a nice touch. Strawberry jam and proper thick cream. Plus fresh strawberry. 50s and 60s music playing in the background created a nice atmosphere. We will definitely return to have different cake or afternoon tea.Reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit

We have passed this restaurant several times, it always looked full so we decided to book Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful, they took our order and the food was quickly served...Sadly the first thing we noticed was the waitress took our serving spoons out of her pocket, the roast meat was served, but there was a wait for the vegetables and gravy...Again sadly everything was cold, and the tin serving dishes were very cold apart from the broccoli..we think it was cauliflower cheese, not sure on that one, no cheese sauce. The Yorkshire spuds were lovely, and also the roast potatoes.I had the turkey, the others had the beef, mine was tender..but the beef was tough, even though it was cooked rare, the other tables on either side of us , were also making comments...We understand how difficult it is to make a perfect Sunday lunch, I don't think that we are " picky" we felt it just needed a bit of tweaking..hence our score..

We had planned to go to another Long Sutton teashop. Thank goodness it was closed or we would never have found this delightful establishment. Beautiful surroundings, amazing food and Sal was so friendly and helpful when we left we felt like we had made a friend. As a half way point between to friends, we will be back very soon as ladies who don't lunch enough. Thank you!

We witnessed the appalling service reported in a previous review. It appeared to me that the Cook was only concerned with the steak being returned and then cancelled probably all about the cost and no thought for the customer's health. I was amazed that the Cook thought it acceptable to just remove the offending eggs off the customer's steak - pure laziness and total ignorance. Although our meals were ok we won't frequent the Diner again due to the total lack of customer service (the cook was so rude) and lack of thought over allergies. Unbelievable!!!

We stopped off for a cup of tea en route home after a day out in the area. We were welcomed and told to sit where we liked. We had a choice of teas and enjoyed a large pot of Earl Gray. My lemon sponge was huge and thoroughly delicious. I could have chosen a cake from the wide choice on offer. My husband enjoyed his sausage roll. The venue is a little off the main road but well signed. As we were preparing to leave a part of cyclists arrived and they too were warmly welcomed and a wide choice of refreshments were offered to them.If we are passing again, we shall certainly pop in.
