This is our local pub, and weâve been several times over the last 5 years. The portions are generous, food is fabulous and the staff have always been friendly. When we have friends up to stay they always ask to book in for a Sunday roast as itâs one of the best theyâve had. The only thing to let it down and lose a star is the state of the high chairs. Recently we visited with my 9 month old son who was able to sit in a high chair here for the first time. Thereâs one with a little tray which I thought felt quite rickety, and I wouldnât trust my wriggly baby in it. I picked one of the standard ones up which was filthy, then went to swap it over but found the rest of them to be in a similar condition. I got the old trusty wipes out and gave it a good clean, only to then find one of the safety straps was missing. I then had to clean another one. When I say clean I donât mean sweep a few crumbs away, I mean several meals of ingrained food, unknown sticky patches with fuzz stuck to them and straps so ingrained with crusty food they look like theyâve never been washed. I told a member of staff about the strap but she didnât say much. Itâs a similar theme across a lot of restaurants unfortunately.

Starter was great, dessert really nice but the risotto wasn't cooked resulting crunchy rice. Shame. Our waitress was really lovely.

Came here yesterday. The decor is okay but the seating is very cramped. I had the lasagne which tasted fine, a tiny bit lukewarm. The prices were fine

It does exactly what it says. Every variant of a cafe breakfast served up quickly. Very reasonable prices. It gets busy but the turnover is also quick, worth waiting a few minutes even if it is full.

Traditional Free House, with a homely feel and Real Open Fires. Serving home cooked food with a good selection of Real Ales, Traditional Cider, Quality Lagers and an extensive Wine List and a good selection of soft drinks. We are also dog friendly.
Excellent Sunday lunch at £10.95 (£12.45 for 3 meats).Served with an extra jug of gravy- a nice touch which normally has to be requested elsewhere. Fairly quiet at 1 pm but as it filled up the noise grew but never as bad as some other places.Nice traditional pub with open fires.

Iâm no vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination but I have recently enjoyed a breakfast at Vutie Beets in Letchworth. The food has been very enjoyable, the breakfast filling and well presented, the spicy beans in particular are very enjoyable! I have 2 slight issues which prevent me coming back more frequently. Firstly, it is relatively expensive £12.95 for breakfast with coffee and it does take some time to cook (25 to 30 minutes for the breakfast). The second of these is less of an issue and I appreciate the effort and time that goes into cooking nice food. However, the £9.95 for the breakfast and £3.00 for the coffee prevents me coming back more frequently, moving Beets to a very occasional trip from a much loved frequent stop. The food is good, portions good, staff excellent and I appreciate good organic food may cost more, but £3.25 for a latte is indicative of over pricing. Itâs a lovely place, but I feel the cost of a plate is very heavy. Iâll keep going, but itâs a once every 3 months when I wish I could say once every 3 weeks.

Village pub with locals bar, restaurant & bar dining, stylish bedrooms. Local produce, regular changing menu, real ales on tap
We were looking forward to dining here after reading many positive reviews, and indeed the food was very good although at a higher price point and great for that special occasion. However, bread and oils were placed on the table which were not shown on either of the menus, although we were charged for them when the bill arrived. As these were not requested we asked for them to be removed from the bill, a little more transparency would have been appreciated.Hi Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. Please accept our apologise for being charged for the bread and oils. This was a complete oversight on our end and you should not have been charged for these. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your evening however, and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Kind regards

My first lunch out with my 9 month old granddaughter and the Potting Shed certainly fitted the bill. A lovely friendly welcome and plenty of parking space for the buggy in the annexe. Then we moved into the cafe and the food and service were first class. Every dish/ sandwich is made to order and is very fresh. Nice cuppa as well.Had a nice walk to look at the chickens and rhea family. Our little one loved it. Also some nice plants to buy if you so desire.Iâll certainly be in again. Thank you. Hi, thank you for your review, we look forward to seeing you again soon
