Find out what British restaurants to try in Langholm. Langholm /ˈlæŋəm/, also known colloquially as the "Muckle Toun", is a burgh in Dumfries and Galloway in southern Scotland. We use the very best produce foraged, grown, fished, farmed and caught from the land and sea around us, as well as fruit, vegetables and herbs from our own walled garden in Netherby Hall. From the kitchen we serve a menu of contemporary dishes expertly pr
We ate in the bar. Great food. Menu a little limited but that was great because what is on offer is excellent. Service superb. I had the fish and chips and my husband had a rib eye. Both well cooked and very tasty. Would definately return if in the area Thank you for your great review. Iâm glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal so much. We use only the best locally sourced products for our menu, and in fact we even grow our own fruits and vegetables, meaning that the menu is always changing. We hope youâll visit us again in the not too distant future. Thanks,Graham WilcockRestaurant & Bar Manager

Had a delicious meal at the Copshaw Kitchen. We were staying in the village for 2 nights and decided after our starters we would come back the next evening. The host was lovely and there was a really relaxed feel to the restaurant. There was a great selection of ginâs that I made sure I sampled. Highly recommended.

Delicatessen vintage tearoom and garden
Sign over the door says âTruly Scrumptious, Vintage Delicatessenâ, this is none of those things, the food is average at best, and although a limited menu often indicates good food this one doesnât, there is nothing on the menu that is in any way, special. The inside is small, dirty and uncared for with fly blown windows, weed filled hanging baskets, food splashes and layers of dust. However, our table was freshly wiped and crockery and cutlery looked clean. The decor creates a shabby (not, chic) ambiance helped only slightly by the âvintage, 50,sâ music. All in all, a real shame as with some hard work, âelbow greaseâ a bit of style, both to the decor and menu, the location could make this a real winner.
We stopped on our journey as weâd heard how much it had improved and wanted to check as weâll be making this journey more frequently now that we live in Hawick.Weâd been here a year or so ago and it wasnât too bad then, but to be fair, itâs even better now.Generous portions of well cooked, freshly prepared and tasty, probably, locally sourced ingredients. We had the Quiche (smoked bacon) and it was delicious, w chose a Chips and salad which were very good as well. The portions of quiche were very generous and whilst I managed to finish mine, my wife had some left and they wrapped it for us to take home. (The waitress remarked, that this wasnât unusual!)We were well looked after by friendly, helpful staff even though the place was packed within 20 minutes of our arrival not much after 1230, so, arrive early and youâll be well served.Weâll certainly be stopping here again and againHighly recommended

Quaint high street hotel in the High Street in sleepy little Langholm. But just like the town this establishment looks like time has passed it by. The theme of the Common Riding - a local festival was its major selling point. We has a good, basic meal, nicely served.
We called in as a party of four for lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming imediatly showing us to a table, providing extra menus and taking our drinks order. We had different main courses and we all agreed that they were all excellent and obviously freshly cooked. Would highly recommend the food and service here!

I've heard several good reviews of Pelosis Corner Cafe and decided to try it over the more prestigious and expensive restaurants in Langholm. I wasn't disappointed, the fish and chips and coffee were very good, and for £ 8, this isn't miuch these days. Also the owner is very friiendly and there are a selection of newspapers to read while you're waiting for your meal, which isn't very long. You can always tell how good a place is by how busy it is and Pelosi's has plenty of regulars. If you're a bit short of cash, they do double fried eggs and chips for £ 3.99, which are popular. I'll be going back again.

The Dining Room at the Eskdale Hotel is decorated in rich warm reds and deep aubergine colours, the perfect place relax and enjoy a romantic meal or celebrate that special family occasion. Our menus offer an extensive range of home cooked traditional and c
We stayed locally and was looking for somewhere to eat out in this lovely little village on the Scottish/English Border and we were not disappointed at all. Service wasn't professional but the food was outstanding, On arriving I wasn't sure where we were going and out of no where appeared a young lad and when we said we had a table booked, in silence walked off so we followed. Towards the rear of the building he opened a door and walked off, we assumed the table set out for 4 was for us so we sat down. After a while another young lad appeared and handed us our menus.I love the fact the menu lists their suppliers and almost everything was local and from small producers, The haddock was melt in the mouth, the steak the same it was so tender and perfectly cooked. The Chef produced amazing food and I do hope they got the tip we left because it was very well deserved.Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to the The Dining Room at the Eskdale, we were glad you enjoyed the food and were please to see the local producers we use in our dishes. We have noted the point raised on the service style, and hope in future visits you will find it outstanding like the food.RegardsJohn G

Went for a much needed dinner after doing sporting events at the Muckletoon Adventure Festival - and as a birthday treat for my parents. The restaurant was buzzing - great atmosphere and great service considering how packed it was. I had thought the menu looked a bit 'standard pub grub' from outside, but there was an extensive specials menu which was incredible. We all loved our meals and would certainly recommend this place.

We sometimes meet up with a friend and have lunch in Langholm but our usual venue was not available so we came here. We probably won't go back to the other place. The food here was excellent - very tasty and well cooked, especially the chips! Makes you realise the rubbish that many places serve. Service was good too, friendly and efficient. Only downside - outside toilets. It also got very busy and for the time of year and on a Friday lunchtime on the outskirts of town that is unusual. So get there early.
