Midweek meal, quite busy but excellent service. Plenty of choices. Our group chose Haddock, Roast Beef and Asian Duck & Noodles dish. All very tasty and well cooked. Starters were good too.
A family friendly tradition real ale pub overlooking the canal with ample parking, kids play area and decked terrace. Please Note We Serve Sunday Lunches Only....
There are no airs or graces in this pub, just a friendly atmosphere and good food.Itâs long overdue some redecoration, but nevertheless it is spotlessly clean. They only serve food on a Sunday or on Quiz night on a Thursday. Weâve only eaten there on a Sunday and we go back again and again. If we have a complaint itâs that they give you too much food!! The pub is situated next to the canal and has a decking area which is lovely in the summer, watching the boats go by.Itâs a nice family and pet friendly pub, well worth a visit.

Stopped here for lunch on way to the castle. Price was £7 for a carvery. 2 courses. The food was enjoyable. Very pub grub and not restaurant standard- but for the price extremely good. Beer also very reasonably priced. Decor not fantastic but still cosy and the staff were most welcoming and helpful.

Originally a busy coaching inn dating back to the 1600s, The Crown Inn is a warm and welcoming pub restaurant in the picturesque village of Monk Fryston. The Crown is under new management and our kitchen has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, al
Saturday lunch with friends, Monk Fryston was the mid way meeting point. What a find in The Crown. Great food, great portions - the pie outstanding. Good beers as well. The staff were spot on, Carlie on the bar one of the best. Highly recommended.
A family owned cafe bar by day and a cocktail gin prosecco with Draughts beers by night. Serving from 8.30 for breakfasts though till late on an evening. We serve light lunches, cater for afternoon teas, take private bookings and welcome children xx
The window table we booked 2 weeks beforehand was occupied when we arrived which was disappointing as this booking was for my friends birthday treat. The staff hurriedly set up another table for us.We had the champagne afternoon tea but instead of tea we wanted coffee which we were made to pay full price for. The food and cakes were nice but the overall experience was a let down when we were so looking forward to a treat. We wouldnât rush back.Sorry you felt the need to leave a review like this. The table was indeed occupied in the window when you arrived, we didnât really release that the people in the window would stay and drink as long as they did. This is always a hard one to judge as we couldnât leave that table free just for a booking as you can appreciate we are only a small venue. We offer three types of afternoon tea, one with tea or coffee one if you choose prosecco and the other choice is with a cocktail. You were charged for the prosecco afternoon tea and then you wanted hot drinks so yes of course we would have charged you for this. This was an extra.Glad you enjoyed the good but really a two star because you didnât get to sit in the window and you wouldnât rush back ? Thank you for dropping our score we strive to please and I challenge you to find another afternoon tea with such value for money as ours!

Like an Oasis in the middle of so much sameness. Where to start with this little gem in its beautiful surroundings. Firstly the staff are all super helpful and friendly. The food is everything that you will recognise but the quality and cooking is excellent. Add in a large fresh selection of home baked cakes and you can see why itâs amazing. My parents always love it when I take them here.Th
