A trendy bar/kitchen serving a variety of lagers, wines, cocktails & champagnes. Delicious fresh food including tapas, steaks, burgers, pizzas & kebabs served all day.
Booked for a birthday meal, the booking was really easy and followed up by an email requesting a pre order. On arrival the staff were very pleasant and the table had been decorated which was lovely. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Our waitress Neave was great, very efficient and friendly even providing a free birthday glass of prosecco! No complaints and will certainly return! Thank you very much for your kind words,I will make sure to pass on the comments to Neave, and the rest of the team. Many thanks

The food and service were exceptional We ate off the short menu but were allowed the flexibility of the a la Carte as well. The stone bass was perfect, preceded by English new season asparagus with a Parmesan mousse and to follow, a salted caramel and almond tart. Meanwhile my husband chose lamb rump followed by orange panacotta whilst our friend had the rump steak with chips that he didnât want to share!. In short the Mustard team couldnât have done enough for us and their talent extended to the best gin apple and elderflower sparkling cocktail that weâve tasted. Thanks Mustard for a super evening! You deserve your position in the Good Food Guide

Hiking from Marsden to Jackson Bridge, this was the only pub on the trail, so I was very grateful to reach it in the afternoon. It's an attractive old country inn, well-panelled with wood and quite spacious. It's not cheap--lager was £5.00 a pint.; but I was so thirsty I'd've paid a hundred. The barmaid was erudite and quite amusing. The gastro aspirations of the Fleece were undermined by the fact it stank strongly of bacon.

Beautiful country pub, with fantastic home cooked food. An ever changing specials board and dessert menu. Log fire and a warm welcome, pets welcome.
Had to park on busy main road but received warm welcome and good fire in the bar area. Plenty of choice on the specials board and lunch 2 and 3 course deals. My wife enjoyed her fish pie and the Barnsley lamb chop was good. The service was prompt and the bill for 6 people was reasonable.Hello, sorry about the parking, its such a shame the pub doesn't have a carpark.Glad you enjoyed the food, hope to see you again. x

Had lunch yesterday and although very busy food arrived quickly and was perfect. Didnât fancy the soup so very informative assistant advised the frittata with extra pulled ham on top. Many Thanks for taking the time to review your visit we really appreciate it.Look out for the purple hearts on the menu and specials board for the healthier options. We still try to keep them scrummy so you still feel like it was worth coming out for...The frittata on the spring/summer menu proving really popular. Thanks & regards Sue

I took some friends who were visiting for afternoon tea and they loved their first visit to Philomena Foggs, I am a regular and they wished they lived nearer so that they could be too. The smoked salmon on the sandwiches is good quality and the cakes and sweet items are fresh and good quality, as I am sure is the same with everyone my favourite is the cream choux swan on top. Best afternoon tea you can get.

The Whippet & Pickle is located in the heart of the very beautiful Holmfirth. After a period of closure for several months due to a near by fire we are very happy to be back up & running! Wonderful to see so many returning customers! We are set over two f
We had a fabulous three course meal here on a Friday evening and loved everything about the place. It's clearly been furnished with great delight and it was lovely sitting in the quirky building amongst the cheerful vintage treasures. The staff were attentive yet relaxed and friendly. For such a chilled out atmosphere we were surprised by the ambitious menus; clearly a very talented chef with great imagination. The food itself lived up to the dish descriptions, exceeding our expectations repeatedly. Prepare for your taste buds to be tickled! Fabulous.
