'town (or burgh) of Helen') is a town within the Helensburgh and Lomond Area of Argyll and Bute Council, Scotland. It also has its own Community Council. It lies on the north shore of the Firth of Clyde and the mouth of the Gareloch is close to the western boundary of the town.

We visited recently for Sunday lunch. The staff were all welcoming and very helpful - accommodating our two year old with no hassle whatsoever. Food was delicious - my husband particularly enjoyed his game casserole. I loved the ice-cream at the end, really tasted homemade (not sure if it was, but it tasted that way!).Beautiful grounds and a very well-kept property inside. Big bonus was the beautiful and gentle Border Collie, Rosie, whom we all enjoyed making a fuss of - if you're not a dog person, don't worry, she is very well behaved and wouldn't approach you I don't think.

Dined here with my parents and family, 6 of us, planned on having lunch. A few people in when we arrived but not overly busy. My Mum asked if she could put 2 tables together to accommodate us all, only to be told by the owner âdo what you wantâ, charming!Got served quite quickly, coffees arrived then it went down hill. Waited an hour on our food, we hadnât ordered anything out the ordinary, just filled rolls. After waiting 45 minutes I went to the desk to ask how much longer we had to wait and was told it was just coming; people that came in after us were served food before us; another 15 minutes later and we eventually got our food but one order was wrong so it got sent back. No apology, no offer of more coffees. Havenât been back and wonât go back. Shame as the food was good but as a customer, donât expect to be spoken to in such a rude manner.

We stumbled in here out of the dreadful rain for a light lunch. Locals had highly recommended this place so we had high expectations.Perfect for me as I like soup and there were three on the menu to choose from. The butternut squash soup was amazing, full of subtle flavour and a generous portion. Followed by apple pie which was the best ever. All home made, and you can tell. Well done to the chefs. Great cafe, good banter and we will be back. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Other than to say this place is awesome and served us the best sandwiches weâve had in a very very very long time. The brown sourdough is so good I cannot describe it, homemade soups both perfect. Coffee also the best Iâve had for ages and the empire biscuit and lemon cake we carried out also superb. Highly recommend.

First time visit and it was buzzing. With a varied menu that is slightly weighted towards seafood there is something for everyone. Our party had both the seafood and the meat options, and all of us were very impressed with the meals prepared for us. Well cooked, well presented and incredibly tasty. Will certainly return when next in the area, and would recommend it to anyone.
