Visiting Emsworth with friends we chanced upon this pub and we are jolly glad we did for we had an excellent.2 of us fancied the steak and ale pie which had just gone in the oven so we waited 30mins for the pastry to cook and we were served the most delicious pie full of tender steak in a rich ale gravy with a generous selection of veg. The other 2 had salads with various fish and these were huge and much enjoyed. by 13:00 all of the tables were full and I can understand why. We will visit again. Excellent.

It's an unassuming cafe and I was pleasantly surprised by the food and prices. It's a traditional style greasy spoon, with a good range of food including veggie options. The place is smart and clean and efficiently staffed with table service and very quick with freshly cooked breakfasts.Overall it's very good value for money, so recommended. The only negative point was the Lavazza coffee as it's rather bitter but at least it isn't instant, coffee but that doesn't deserve a reduction in rating.

We had lunch sitting outside enjoying the fabulous view. My steak and stilton pie was excellent and absolutely delicious. The fish and chips looked amazing and the fish was huge. My husband had the sea food linguine which he described as very good. There were many of us in our party and we were served efficiently and quickly. We will definitely go back.Hi Clare BThank you for the great feedback, We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time with us.We look forward to seeing you soon

We came here while staying in Petersfield as it seemed to be the nearest 'fine dining' restaurant. The family-run restaurant claim to be more of a brasserie than fine dining, but the food and service are exemplary. Every course was spot on.

We booked a family get together for a table of 11 on a Wednesday evening, arriving at 1830 the place was rammed, no parking spaces (turn around and park on the service road where you come in, its wide and safe)The service was attentive we soon had a nice cool drink in hand.My lamb rump was cooked as requested and the jus had fabulous flavour, all washed down by nice cold draught beer and a cup of tea for pudding!Given how busy the place was I was impressed by the service, the food and the quality/attention to detail, thank you to all concerned.

Rustic home-cooked food is the order of the day at The Old House at Home, a 17th century pub in Havant. The best Sunday roast thanks to our seasonal ingredients and the meat from our superb local butcher. Choose from six ales, four lagers and a fridge ful
Popped in with friends on Sunday for a really fantastic roast. Paid a quid for extra spuds as a potatoholic. They arrived on a side dish and never got to touch them as the dinner was so filling! Beautiful roast beef. Great service and the camp Irish barman is always a delight. Thank you very much for our five star review we are really proud of our menu and our locally produced products and our team that delivers them and the service I will pass on your comments I am sure the Irish barman will be thrilled we do hope to see you again soon

The Wheelwright's Arms offers fabulous food and superb real ales, including those from our own Upham Brewery. We are very dog friendly and love to welcome walkers in that have been out exploring the local countryside and coastline. Our pub is conveniently
Sunday lunch - great waitress and very accommodating to dietary needs. Reasonable prices too. This place used to be expensive but now the mains are around £10. Roasts were good. Excellent gluten free options as well. 10/10.Good Morning Mark R!Thank you for taking the time out to leave a review with us, it is greatly appreciated by everyone!Sunday lunches are my favourite here, and with a dietary requirement myself I understand how nice it is to be able to have something, I am very pleased to hear we were accommodating :)Thank youDannielle MooreAssistant Manager

Award winning Tearoom in the heart of Havant. good food award 2014 and 2015!
I had read lots of good reviews on Trip advisor ao had high hopes. A friend said she would meet me near my home and Havant isnt too far from home so i took this opportunity to visit. It looked bigger from the pictures. It was busy for lunch on a weekday. Because it was busy it was actually quite noisy and my friend was getting quite a draught every time the door opened. It is a nice cafe however i felt the menu was quite limited, i was expecting a variety of cakes on offer. I also thought it was a tad expensive however the jacket potatoes we both had were nice and lots of filling which is always a plus. Downside slightly that it was cash only which meant i had to cobble some cash together. Will visit again but not with more than one other friend.
