Years since I'd been here. Hardly changed a bit. If you want a classic English country pub, this is for you! Traditional decor including brasses etc.Greeted by Chef on arrival for lunch. Food was excellent, staff friendly. Including the pub dog!Very good portions, hot and fresh. Eat inside (four areas) or outside (some great views)A little overpriced but worth it.

The inglenook Long bar and sofa areas make this area a cosy and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a chat with friends any night of the week. It is a great place to pop in for a drink with a huge variety of wines, beers and spirits. For summer days and encl

We had a meal at The Plough whilst staying in Pyecombe, walking the South Downs Way. Itâs more like a restaurant with drinking area rather than a pub. Having said that the service was very friendly and good. The food was good too with generous portions. My husbands steak was tender and well cooked. Good place for an evening meal.

Nestled on the high street of Hurstpierpoint village, Morleys Bistro is proud to serve excellent food in comfortable relaxed restaurant atmosphere. It's the perfect place to relax with friends and family for a drink, breakfast, lunch or an evening meal.
We visited for my sons birthday. Quite busy for a Tuesday night but the service was excellent. Food was very good particularly the pork belly. Will definitely be returning and have no hesitation in recommending for a great evening. Thank you.

Stopped in Ditchling for a few days. The Green Welly is always a destination for lunch. Great pastries and always changing salads, with a glass of French Rose~. As the temperature warms up the hanging baskets in the courtyard are starting to flower and create a lovely display. We will be back. !Thank you so much for your kind comments. It was lovely to see you again and we appreciate the detour that you make to come to the Green Welly each time you are visiting the area.

Goddards Green, in the heart of West Sussex, just off the A23 (Hickstead) close to Hurstpierpoint and Burgess Hill, boasts the Sportsman public house, home of great cuisine and Casque Mark Ales. Formerly, two pubs, the Magpie and the Sportsman, the buildi
Enjoyed my vegan choices very much. Excellent presentation and pleasant service. Comfortable modern surroundings and plenty of parking. Need to return in the daytime for another visit. Can heartily recommend the vegan burger though the remainder of the menu looked good too. Alan, Thank you for your recent reviewVery glad to read that you enjoyed your meal with us & that the vegan burger seemed to be a hit.We have a few options for vegan preferences on the menu with many more than can be adapted to suit too - if requested. We will soon be drafting our festive & seasonal winter menus too, so more dishes to sample in the next few weeks once we have everything finalised.Another reason for a lunchtime visit soon then perhaps !?

This was the second time myself and my wife have come here, and on neither occasion has it disappointed. In fact the quality of the food exceeded expectations. We shared the lamb shoulder starter, which was beautifully cooked. I then had the special burger, whilst my wife had the Hake, which had be recommended to her by our waitress. Both of these dishes were amazing. My wife and I sat outside in the sun and were served by two wonderful waitresses, Michaela and Kitty, who couldnât be more helpful. We canât wait to return!!

We came with four friends to celebrate a special birthday. They had booked a table which would be essential as the place was packed. There is plenty of parking. We had a wonderful evening. The food drinks and service were excellent. The menu is quite large and we would recommend looking on line if possible to get an idea of what you want to eat. The portions are large. Everything was hot and there were plenty of lovely vegetables. Thank you for a memorable evening.
