We have passed this cafe quite a few times but as we have an elderly mum with us with limited mobility it is usually difficult to park nearby. However we found a space and went in for lunch. Inside it is lovely and the decor is certainly different. The staff were lovely and the lunch was delicious. Two of us had the cheese and meat croissant and my husband had a chicken wrap. I would have given 5 stars but we bought 2 cheese scones to take away and unfortunately they were tasteless - Shame but we will go back for lunch again.

Kildale is a delightful hamlet on the Esk valley trainline, close to Great Ayton in North Yorkshire National Park. There is free parking near to this café (station car park) and you can walk in several directions in the National Park. such as: Onto Captain Cooks Monument or onto Park Nab. The café is under the new ownership (July 2018) of a charming young man in his early 20's with a real passion for food. It is open 6 days a week (closed Thursday) from 9.30-4.30. So if you are partial to a cake and a coffee after your walk (or drive) of fancy a light lunch then I can recommend this little eatery. Enjoy

Called in "on spec" and boy were we glad we did. The decor is classic Yorkshire pub and the food fits into the same catagory. It is good basic wholesome food, not fancied up and priced to match. We just simply and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. If you are hungry this is the place to go.

I have been visiting this pub restaurant periodically for over 30 years which incidentally used to be amazing! But sadly my past two visits have been extremely disappointing. Apart from the extremely friendly waitress, the place is grubby, with ingrained food on the fabric seats in the restaurant. The furniture doesn't appear to have been refurbed for many many years if ever! We waited ages for our main course and when it arrived it had lost its special status from me! Mediocre! It has gone right down the pan! We shan't be returning! Come on Dudley keep up with your competitors!

We have stopped to eat here a number of times now and the fish and chips are always fantastic You also get a good portion in that one portion of chips is usuall6 more than enough for both my wife and myself. The other good thing is that the food is prepared fresh as you order so has not been stood for lengths of time in the display cabinet. The staff were also very pleasant on each occasion weâve visited.

An excellent, well-established, family run butchers with a large selection of pies and pastries as well as a good choice of fresh meats. The award-winning pies, etc. are freshly made daily and in huge demand by tourist visitors to the area as well as the local clientele.

Whinstone View is a family-run business which opens seven days a week. When people visit Whinstone View they often comment on how beautiful the grounds are. We are surrounded by countryside, trees and greenery so if you're looking for a relaxing place to
Very nice experience at the Whinstone, staff and it's pretty location really making it a pleasant visit. We sat outside and the wasps weren't a bother as the joss sticks seemed to do the job. The menu is still a weak spot though with no defined style and in the evening, masses of choices which makes the food a bit on the average. However the overall experience, flexible hours and welcoming team make it a nice place to have a casual meal.Hi 95janea, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your visit. We are pleased to read that you had a positive experience overall and really appreciate your kind words about our staff and surroundings. We offer a varied choice of dishes using fresh, local ingredients with meals cooked to order. We offer a lot of customer favourites on the menu and also adapt the menus to suit the seasons. We're sorry to read that this wasn't quite suited to your taste. We hope to welcome you back.Kind regards,Whinstone View

We stayed her one night while walking the Cleveland Way. Its a couple of miles off the trail and the staff will pick you up and drop you back the next morning. We had a large bedroom with a bath as well as a shower, which was welcome after our long walk. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good and well priced. as it was a Friday night there was live music and the bar was very busy. When we went to bed there was some noise from below, but it soon quietened down and well had a great night's sleep. Thanks for your fabulous review. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Our music nights are very popular and thankfully situated at the opposite end of the building to the hotel rooms! We hope you visit us again for another good nights sleep. Simon.

Alfresco dining
Beautiful food, well cooked and not long to wait, Sunday morning busy with lots of people, seemed popular with cyclists and lots of dogs dotted about. Well worth a visit, my husband, son and I all had the full English mum had bacon sandwich, pot of tea and lovely large latte for myself. Reasonable prices and nice settings with goats and a tiny baby goat who was so cute, could have 'kidnapped' him, give it a try, you wont be disappointedaw thank you for the review, it is kind of you to make those nice comments. We are really pleased you enjoyed your food and your experience when visiting us. The tiny goat to which you refer is called Woody and is getting bigger, although I think he will always be cute. Hope to see you all again.
