Beancross Hotel & Restaurant opened in 1997 and was built from the groundworks of the old "West Beancross Farm". Beancross has been part of the Hannigan Hotels family since 2012, and we like to keep the atmosphere informal and focused on food and customer
Since my first review a couple of years ago I have returned on several occasions. Food is always excellent, fresh, hot and homemade. Staff are great and attentive. Very quickly seated and orders taken and food was always quick being served. Definitely worth a trip! The price has increased slightly but £15 for three courses of home made food cannot be complained about.

Came here on the back for a lot of good reviews on trip advisor, was really busy when we went in and thought this was a promising sign, this is where everything went wrong. We waited a good 5 mins plus to get our food order taken, then a couple whoâd ordered after someone else got their food first much to the disappointment of other customers. Waited ages for our drinks order and ages for our food. Our food was okay but nothing to write home about, no check backs from the staff and the cook came out three times to make it cleaar he was quite unhappy with the waiting staff.I wouldnât trust this place to not cross contaminate food if youâre vegan or have any allergies.Hi there...I always appreciate constructive criticism if you have had either a bad customer service experience or bad food and never once disagreed with a customer online....however on this occasion I feel that I should break with tradition. Yes..we were extremely busy on the day you came to eat which meant you will have had a short wait to be served and yes some customers were served their food before you..the reason for that is because we had gluten free and vegan orders in the kitchen so the cook was clearing the regular short orders first so the grills and surfaces could be cleaned. As a business who has built its reputation on allergy free and vegan menus it could be considered defamatory for your last comment and will contacting trip advisor with regards to this. I can nothing about your comments about the food you had it is always a matter of opinion whether our food is good or not...however you have absolutely no basis for your accusation with regard to our food hygiene practises when it comes to allergens. I am a food hygiene trainer and take this very seriously. You also have assumed an awful lot about why my husband had words with us...I can assure you...it wasnt about your wait.

Decided to visit the Soo Hoose for lunch today (Mon 14th Oct) with my wife and daughter. The food was served piping hot, fresh and was plentiful. The two waitresses were great and the overall bill represented true value for money. If in the area again, we would definitely return.

Best macaroni I've ever had just too much.Hello! Thanks so much for your review! Youâre right our portions are not for the faint hearted - we do a smaller sized macaroni too if youâd prefer! Thanks again!Tea Jennys Management

We were at the Scottâs for a friendâs wedding and must recommend it as an excellent venue. The Layout was very good with 2 function rooms with bar facilities in both rooms. The staff were very friendly and courteous whilst serving food or drinks behind the bar. The meal was excellent with 3 choices of starter, main and desert (I had steak pie as a main which I would thoroughly recommend). The drinks were very well priced for a venue of this stature with 3 pints of Lager, a bottle of beer and an alchopops all costing a very reasonable price of £16. The main function room was very nicely laid out with round tables which sat 10 to 12 people. To sum up the Scottâs, we found it a great venue for a wedding and would definitely recommend to others.

We ate here two nights when staying at the Grange Manor hotel on the same site. The portions were quite large and food was good quality although we were not offered the Early Bird menu which I later discovered they had, so be sure to ask. The disappointing thing, which is why I have only given it three stars, was on both occasions the waitresses ( different one each visit) were leant on the bar area texting, or using their phone oblivious of whether diners were trying to attract their attention. Shame really as it gave a poor impression of service.Thank you for your review following your recent visit to Cook's bar and kitchen. I am pleased you found the food to be of good quality and large portions. I have noted your comments regarding the staff on the mobile phones, however, we are constantly updating our social media, and it is for this reason that the staff were on their phones, we like to post pictures of food being prepared, and the final product along with various parties/bookings which are taking place in the hotel, so please be assured that the staff were not texting. We do hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the future.Andrew TigheGeneral Manager

Never had a bad meal in here - the food is absolutely to die for - the chef is amazing! Most people we talk to don't know Pierres is even there or will overlook it but it's consistently excellent and if you haven't tried it I highly recommend. They do an excellent Sunday lunch and 'themed' nights to so if you are veggie or vegan they will cater for this too. Superb!

I have been going to this wee cafe for a few years, on an infrequent basis, as I do not go to Falkirk very often but when I do I have a light lunch here. Today, for instance, I had a bacon roll - bacon nice and crisp, I had the fat left on, but was asked if I wanted it to be removed before cooking - a wee bowl of freshly made chips - real potatoes cut up and fried - crispy and delicious, and a cup of black coffee - 2 shots - I was asked my preference, and cold milk served in a recycled miniature whisky bottle.....go there and try it. There is a great menu of freshly made dishes....

Didn't know this place existed, and it's hidden away in The Hub at bottom of Vicar Street, until a friend recommended it. Dropped in before noon and it was reasonably busy. Ordered the full breakfast. Top quality products, cooked well and not greasy. Great service and value too. Nicely decorated, fresh and clean. Will definitely return.Thank you for your visit and great review of our food, service, decor and prices! I very much look forward to your return for another breakfast or our equally good brunch or lunch options. Thanks, Giles.
