A little bit of history & what we do. The Cart Shed has been many things in the past. In the 1600s it was actually a cart shed & in more recent times it was used to keep cows & pigs. Its last farm use was for chickens around 36 years ago. Since then it ha
We were fortunate to be offered the use of the house after the cartshed was burned out three weeks before the wedding. Will had set a large table with candles and white table cloth in the room off the conservatory which had a huge orange tree in the entrance. We were very lucky with the weather the sun shone into the room. We had starters which were excellent and we pre ordered the steaks a mixture of sirloin fillet and rib eye They were delicious cooked on a fire which sealed the steak delightfully. Followed by a superb desert I had crumble my husband had chocolate pudding with cream and raspberry sauce. I recommend this restaurant very highly The chef will was an excellent front man too.

Traditional English Pub, serving Good Homemade food. The pub dates back over 500 years, is mentioned in dickens books. We have 6 real ale pumps. 2017 entry in both ' good pub guide' and 'the camra good beer guide' Live music throughout December, with an a
Upon arrival my wife asked for Bacardi. Didnât have despite already pouring the coke! I wanted roasted peanuts. None of those! This is supposed to be a pub! Food severely cremated meat and severely undercooked veg. Lamb koftas burnt to within inch of life and for £6.95 only given one each! My steak and kidney pie had enough meat but pastry burnt and veg consisting of cauliflower, green beans and leeks tasted like straight from freezer! My wife ordered hand carved ham and chips. Ham was tasteless and worst she ever eaten and so thin there was no chance it was hand carved! My wife ordered spotted dick and told staff no custard as she dairy intolerant. My wife brings her own soya custard which told staff when ordering and then after opening for her, informed us that they actually stocked it! Can you make it up! staff miserable as well. WILL NEVER RETURN!

A unique steakhouse experience: At Miller & Carter we know a thing or two about steak. In fact, we could say that we're one of the best steakhouses in Essex. But we'd rather leave that to your judgement. Because once you've tasted our hand-cut, 28-day age
Whether the service, starter, steak, dessert or wine, always delivers an amazing experience for a meal out or special occasion. Recommend the chateaubriand and banoffee pie in particular. Marino_S_1981, what a lovely review, thank you for your kind words. I will pass your comments on to the team, who will be thrilled to hear about your visit. We look forward to seeing you again soonMiller and Carter Epping

A family run and independent delicatessen and coffee shop set in the beautiful Essex market town of Epping. Serving fresh sandwiches, salads, smoothies and juices as well as stacks of produce from their deli counter. Don't miss out on our stunning salt be
Visited here recently as on the face of it, seemed like a nice place. Sadly itâs a classic case of style over substance. The waitress service was extremely poor; walking away when I was talking to them about the food, slamming things down on the table (coleslaw they forgot to include) and general curtness. I ordered a chicken schnitzel bagel with coleslaw. Aside from expecting the coleslaw as a side, I found it was served on the bagel and took up much of the tiny bagel with a pitiful amount of chicken. Extremely expensive and vastly disappointing for what was received! Will not recommend or return. Thanks for coming in and for your review. We will address the service issue with the team, thanks for bringing this up.The bagels are traditional and the size they should be but they should be filled enough to fill someone up!Sorry you won't return.

Gaynes Park is a stylish and contemporary wedding venue in Essex, set in the grounds of a historic country estate which has been in the Chisenhale-Marsh family for generations.
We attended a wedding here on Monday. From start to finish the day was flawless. The staff were super helpful and accommodating, the venue was beautiful, the view of Londonâs skyline was a lovely touch. The food served during both the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet was absolutely delicious, and it was the perfect place to see two wonderful people tie the knot!

Stopped for a coffee and this was served in good time and with hot milk for my Americano. The flavour was full and overall I was pleased. On the downside, the table had a severe wobble and the top surface was very sticky.Hope things improve for our next visit.Hi Paul R,Thank you for sharing your reviewing with us.I would l like to apologise for your table not being clean, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.I hope to see you again soon and you have a better experience with us.Kind regards, Sammi

Cafe Mio Epping Limited was established in December 2005. We are an independent business, serving fresh home cooked quality food, a wide range of freshly made beverages, cakes, frappé & cold drinks. We pride ourselves on providing good friendly efficient
Lovely cafe with an incredible menu. So much to choose from and all looked impeccably prepared. I know my dishes were! Helpful and very pleasant staff who were beguiled by my granddaughter who cornered the Fruit shoot market and enjoyed some complementary chocolate mini eggs for her cuteness and Doe eyed look across the counter. Toilets donât get mentioned in reviews much but the cubicle at cafe Mio was spotless, spacious and very well lit, top marks chaps. Food is prepared where you can see it and arrives quickly along with your eating irons and condiments. Not too shabby House wine completes any leisure time visit and I would recommend this cafe without hesitation.

This place is friendly, casual and good for being gluten free friendly. I particularly loved their Gluten Free Sponge cake with raspberries. It was the best Gluten Free sponge I have ever tasted, light and not very sweet 9I dislike cakes that re too sweet). Unfortunately I have paid two more visits there and there was no more to be seen.Perhaps everyone else had eaten it already :(

An exquisite fine dining restaurant located on the outskirts of the charming market town of Epping and the beautiful Epping Forest. Haywards offers modern European cuisine across a range of menus - the great value set lunch menu available Thursday to Satu
A real delight. Kitchen skills, presentation and service are all excellent. Staff have been carefully recruited and very well trained. For us the dessert on the tasting menu was slightly out of balance (a little too heavy after 5 courses with extras, and the flavouring of thyme was a bit unsubtle) but overall a delightful meal carefully created, skilfully prepared and beautifully presented. Damn good chef and excellent front of house.Watch this space for further well deserved awards - a 3rd rosette must surely be overdue, and a star can't be far behind. Recommended.
