Approximately 2 miles on the Dromore side from the centre of Hillsborough village, is the beautiful Mill Farm Deli and country apartments. With a beautiful outside dining area and a cottage barn style dining interior, Mill Farm is a piece of peace from breakfast and coffee catch-ups, to a tranquil evening restaurant. Delicious homemade, high quality and affordable food, with detail in presentation is very affordable here, for even the smallest budget. Watch out for the daily specials for that extra treat and enjoy the tranquility and great welcome.

There are a number of dining areas in this restaurant / pub so your experience may differ depending upon which one you choose. We were seated upstairs close to the kitchen which was interesting with lots of nice smellsThe menu is very varied from pizza to steaks and all the food was nicely presented and tasted goodPrices were reasonable although the wine list was a little limited and slightly expensive

An utterly faultless eating experience, staff were very accommodating, modest charges for such craftsman ship. Eating here is a educational, a chance to try tip top breads, well rested meats, moist fish, crisp pastry, an endless list of areas where others fail. Equal to the best European restaurants.

We were here for Sunday Carvery and it was lovely. Food was yummy and staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Only reason I am not giving 'Excellent' is because unlike other carveries you do not get to serve yourself potatoes, vegetables and gravy etc. One of the things I like best about carveries is controlling how much I get on my plate.

Set in the lovely village of Hillsborough, in rural county Down and named after the hare, hara is a reflection of the countryside around it. Working closely with local farmers and growers, chef owners Andy Turner and Roz Allen have an impressive pedigree
Was trying to find somewhere nice for lunch and remembered reading about here in local paper and wasn't disappointed. Only wanted something small but that didn't matter as service was excellent and nice atmosphere. The corn fed chicken dish was to die for, roasted individually and worth the wait. Will definitely be back for more. Very reasonable for the quality.

Called in on Saturday for a coffee but when I seen the dinners that were being served I changed my mind. I had a lovely dinner of boiled ham with boiled & roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. This was a fantastic dinner. I never knew this restaurant was here & I only live 4 mile away. Will definitely be back!Staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.

Called in for lunch en route to Belfast - Velvet Rose Café is set above the boutique in the lovely Georgian Building at the roundabout in Dromore a few minutes from the dual carriage way. Car park at the back a big plus. The menu is extensive, we had the soup and sandwich/steak special both were fresh, delicious and large portions. The kids had goujons and chips/salad which they enjoyed. We had coffees and carrot cake, apple pie with ice cream and cream - all to die for - Service efficient as the café was busy. A friend recommended the restaurant and we certainly would go back again. The interior is lovely modern exquisite décor with lovely views over the main street - all at a very reasonable price.
