We called in for a late lunch and unfortunately the food was very average and not to their previous standards. We werer also charged incorrectly (overcharged) when we got home and I checked thewebsite prices for our meals. I doubt if we'll return despite our having had very satisfactory meals and serfvice on all previous visits. Good bye Duke

Called yesterday (bank holiday). Booked as assumed it would be busy. Although it wasnât heaving the poor young girls were run off their feet. They definitely dont have enough staff. We had to wait a while for our food but thatâs a good sign to me that itâs fresh, and it really was. Everything was delicious. We had some sharing boards, usually never enough to share but omg, we had to bring some home..there was loads and all lovely. Very good value for money. Iâd like to go back sometime for a proper meal. Well worth the trip up there. Well done to the two young girls (prob on min wage too) you kept the place running well. You deserve a rise!!

Had a wonderful early evening meal at the end of October. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, with a really interesting and nice range of dishes on offer.Don't go anywhere else - this is the place to be!We'll be back.

Danielles' Bistro is an excellent restaurant just tucked away off the main street in Hexham. The cuisine is British and Mediterranean and the servings are generous. This restaurant also offers a 2-course lunch menu starting from £9 and a set evening menu
This place definitely lived up to expectation. Lovely atmosphere, good service from friendly, pleasant staff, and great food. I had the Cajun chicken and my husband chose the Toulouse-style cassoulet with duck leg - both were absolutely excellent. I booked on the strength of the reviews Iâd read on here, and it did not disappoint in any way. We will definitely return when weâre next in Hexham! What a great review. Really pleased you enjoyed your evening and Danielleâs and we look forward to your next visit.

Welcome to the Angel Inn or the Angel of Corbridge; a traditional Northumbrian pub steeped in history, great British hearty pub grub, real local ales, dog-friendly and log fires. When itâs cold we will have the fire on so relax and keep warm in our lounge

Wholesome, freshly cooked meals prepared in house. Food cooked to order so, in busy periods, may be a 10 - 15 minute waiting time while we prepare your food. No microwaves on the premises.
There's a bit of something for everyone at this delightful deli-cum-cafe. We were intrigued by the varied menu; there were a lot of things we would happily have tried, but couldn't resist ordering the reuben sandwich. Yes, it was tasty - but we were shocked to find that it was cold, untoasted, and served on white bread. A proper reuben requires rye bread, toasted till the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.

We are a traditional pub serving food with log burners and an outside patio area to be enjoyed during warmer weather, we are situated a village with some individual shops and some great walks, however we do not allow dogs in the pub or outside
On walking in my first thought was âthis is my kind of pubâ.Flagstone flooring, real fire at either end and wooden beams. I love the interior of this pub!! Could have stayed there all day!!My daughter had the kids meal with chicken nuggets and my husband a steak. He really enjoyed it. I had jacket potato with tuna and my only criticisms would be the amount of filling I got with the gigantic potato wasnât near enough. This seems to be a common thing in pubs!!! I suspect they make a healthy profit from £5.50 for a potato and a ice cream sized scoop of tuna! The tuna would have been dry however I asked for mayo which I mixed in which was not an issue. I enjoyed what I had but half of the potato was left as I canât just eat potato, Iâm not living through the famine!! I didnât like that the prices for soft drinks on the menu were not advertised. I find this incredibly shady, and we werenât given an itemised receipt after paying so I actually have no clue how much we paid for our drinks. I really do think this is shady dealings - please put the prices you are charging your customers on your menu. We would visit again on our next trip to Corbridge, and it looks like I will have to suffer the indignity of asking the prices of our drinks next time! Thanks for your feedback and delighted you like the ambiance of the pub, sorry to hear you didnât pick up your receipt to check but not a problem to post a one out if you get in touch. Hoping you will visit again next time visiting Corbridge. Many thanks Linda

Three of us had tea and scones at this nice little tea shop yesterday morning. Rather small and compact on the ground floor, upstairs is much larger with a lounge are at the back next to the toilet facilities ( which are nice and bright and a pleasure to use). If you can go upstairs do so but be warned - the steps are quite steep. We all had tea and a cheese scone - total cost £15 which is alright but a little pricey. There's a good selection of food especially cakes which all looked delicious. Nice friendly staff and a pot of water with the tea was a bonus. Recommended and we will return.
