Traditional 13 Centuary public house, serving a wide range of home made meals 7 days a week, specialising in authentic Persian cuisine. Outdoor seating, skittle alley, pool table and giant multi screen sky sports.
From the outside this establishment looks like a fairly typical old English Pub and if you venture inside this would confirm that opinion. However, the chef is a Persian who is passionate about his food and offers a rare treat - genuine Persian food. Three of us all had different selections and it was served so that we could share - rather like a Chinese restaurant. The food was universally rated as quite wonderful. Worth a special mention was the saffron rice. I eat rice many times a week and I can honestly tell you that I have never had rice like this. It was incredibly good. I am going to have to try to make this at home.

This is the second I have eaten here and the Sunday roast is excellent, well cooked choice of meat, beef, pork, turkey and chicken. Beautifully cooked vegetables and roast potatoes. Excellent friendly service. Tip if you havenât got a huge appetite op for the small portion even that is plenty of meat and vegetables. Choice of deserts is fantastic as well. Highly recommend

Came here for lunch the other day. It was busy but our meal arrived remarkably quickly, given the number of people there. Lovely menu. Good food, really tasty and they do smaller portions if you want to cater for people with smaller appetities. Really couldn't fault it. Will be back.

This food is so good. The special lamb rump was massive, delicious, so well cooked and all together fabulous. This is our new regular haunt. Ambience, menu, service all great. Well done Chris and Jim.

The Bull Inn is a traditional freehouse serving fine ales and delicious pub food, situated at Hardway, near Bruton. We serve lunch Wednesday - Sunday: 12 PM - 3 PM and Dinner 6 PM - 11 PM, Wednesday - Saturday only
A group of family had lunch here in the garden, close to the new play area where our children played happily whilst we waited for our lunch. The pub was busy and apparently a large number of people arrived together, although they had booked eat at different times. Despite this we didnât have to wait long for our meal. When the food arrived it was excellent. I had a very generous helping of roast beef which was rare and tender, exactly as I like it. The best part were the vegetables which were perfectly cooked and delicious. One of our party had roast pork which had excellent crackling. I think every one of us was satisfied with our food. The service and atmosphere were good too and I think a great deal of effort is being made to create a first class country pub.

Outstanding quality and service for a Saturday afternoon lunch in this lovely countryside pub in the beautiful surroundings of Somerset. Simple lunchtime menu but superior quality food with real cotton napkins - a sure sign of quality and attention to detail. Highly recommended for food quality and a good choice of local ciders. The Local still cider form the village won the Champion of Champions for the whole of the UK

Matt's Kitchen is run out of Matt's house. It's intimate, unique and always best to book. Strictly cash only and BYO.
We had been recommended Mattâs Kitchen by a friend who lived locally during our visit to Bruton. Thankfully we listened to the advice. From booking our meal to leaving the restaurant post meal everything was straight forward and enjoyable. Matt happily catered for a vegetarian in our group and the rest of us were able to try everything else on the menu. Great to have some time in company of the chef himself as he explained his menu and made his recommendations. A choice of 3 starters preceded a choice of one main then a choice of 3 desserts. We tried them all and trying to choose a favourite with pretty much impossible. BYO drinks and cash only make the experience quirkier still but overall itâs an experience you shouldnât miss out on.
