Weâre from Australia & when we order fish n chips at home you wait...not here. Theyâre cooked & ready to go at all times. Good size fish, but a tad greasy for my liking.

Certainly not a gourmet restaurant, but this place has a good honest menu, decent food, and good portion size. Staff have always been good too. We have been lucky to have eaten here a few times now, and have never been disappointed.

I'm never disappointed at Quex. You know you will get quality ingredients, cooked well and served efficiently. We had breakfast, the standard size is very filling and very tasty.

Situated a few miles from Canterbury City centre in the small village of Stodmarsh is The Red Lion. Stodmarsh is one of the very few villages in Britain with a working farm nestled among the 28 houses which are in the village and the internationally famou
Revisited one of our favourite pubs today after a break of several years after it had lost its way a bit.We have to say that today's Sunday lunch was really superb and was streets ahead of its local competitors. An amazing menu including Muntjac for starters and Mangalitsa ( a Hungarian woolly pig ), a baked lemon Alaska that was cooked to order, have seen many a chef fail with this on Masterchef. The team of waitresses were excellent and attentive, so yes we will return.Keith, Jan, David, Lynne and not forgetting Joseph the Airedale puppy.Hello! Thank you very much we are glad you enjoyed yourselves and we look forward to seeing you all again! Kind regards, The Red Lion Team

We come here regularly and always have a good meal. The beef Roast was nice .They were busy on Sunday and that affected the standard. The food although tasty was not really hot enough. The staff seemed over stretched, we had to ask for water more veg etc. The veg ..... peas carrot & courgette! Whereâs the cauliflower/ broccoli.. courgette not very pleasant . Please change the veg. Prawn and egg tower very nice , my husband had profiteroles and said they were lovely , I had salted caramel bread and butter pudding ( I prefer the normal one with raisins in it )

Breakfast menu available everyday 10:30am-12pm. Lunch served 7 days a week from 12pm to 3pm. Traditional Sunday Roast with a selection of meats 12-3pm and a variety of other dishes. Evening restaurant open first Wednesday of every month for chefs Italian
I've eaten at Christie's many times, most recently last night and cannot fault a thing - the portion sizes are extremely generous (especially the breakfast), the produce is good quality and the prices are very reasonable. They also do a Burger Night and an Italian Night once a month which again are fantastic. I have also held a private function here with a buffet which again was generous and very reasonably priced - the atmosphere is friendly as are the staff. Quiz night is also good fun!Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are delighted to hear that you have enjoyed your visits to Christies and hope that you continue to do so in the future. I will pass on your lovely comments to our Chefs and front of house staff. We hope to see you again soon!

The long-established pub The Powell is the oldest hostelry in Birchington. Named after Squire Powell of Quex, the High Sheriff of Kent in 1823. Enjoy elegance, soft hues and classic touches which accentuate the original features of the building. We welcom
Popped in for a late lunch recently following a review in the local press. It was busy but the staff were cheery and helpful and the food was every bit as good as the article had suggested. Well done, keep it up we will be back.

A hidden gem, used mainly by regular clients, because it is in my opinion unique.Been coming here for years, but only occasionally of late.We had two breakfasts, you choose how many items you want, then choose what makes up those items, for example how many eggs, how many sausages. This is good for me,as I like my own balance, not what others tell me i can have. The serving lady remembers everybody's name, and is super friendly.Value is good,as is quality.

Typical lunch fare and nice ice cream. Unfortunately the original owner, who was an Italian, used to make his own delicious ice cream next door - in what is used currently as a health club. Since he has passed away there is still good ice cream but not quite what I remember from my childhood!

Following the launch of our restaurant, The Salutation offers a wealth of dining options, from dawn âtil dusk. With the North Wing opened up to accommodate our state of the art kitchen, our dining rooms fully refurbished, and our tearoom given a fresh sta
My friend and I visited this restaurant for an afternoon tea. We are both Coeliacs so therefore gluten free was required. Lovely surroundings, pleasant staff.Four fillings of sandwichâs were presented to us, which were pleasant but we would have preferred to have chosen the fillings we wanted. The sweet items were well presented, and very tasty. Within the price of the afternoon tea was admission to the award winning gardens. The only negative comment about the visit, was that we was sitting in one of the restaurants eating our tea, music playing. The room was nearby the kitchen, staff within the kitchen were shouting very loudly and this went on for some time. Eventually they had to shut the door of the dining room to shut out the noise!
