Stopped at The Flight House at the end of a long drive home looking for lunch at 2.00pm on a Sunday. The cafe isn’t set up to do a Sunday roast but we both chose burgers, I went for the chilli burger option. We did have to wait a little but there is a whole antiques centre to browse while waiting so that’s not really a problem. The food was very nicely cooked, well presented and plentiful. The chilli burger was at the spicy end of my pallete but better that than being bland. The chips were perfect and my salad was dressed with a tasty vinaigrette. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Great TV veiwing for all the big sports games. We came in to watch the midweek Spurs game and it was brilliant! Drinks were even on a special offer where you get 10% off while the football is on...this pleased the big football fans in our group!Hcb06, we are so happy to read such a great review about White Horse Bicester!

Based on our experience would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a welcoming respite from the shops! The food menu has a reasonable variety and the quality certainly impressed us all.Our server, Jaroslava was excellent. Warm and friendly on a very wet day. Will definitely visit again on a future visit. Many thanks for a lovely review, we are so happy you had a good time with us, and will certainly pass your nice comments to Jaroslava.See you very soon again!

The Hidden Gem down West End Launton. Not to be confused with the Bull Inn at the crossroads! We are a traditional village pub with a 22 seater restaurant area. We provide freshly cooked food to order with an Italian & English offering. We also have aunt s
Very nice little pub, comfortable and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere and no hurry to stop chatting and leave after finishing our meals. Perfect. The food was exceptional, particularly the mango sorbet which was so sharp and sweet at the same time! Delicious! Don't get this pin confused with The Bull that is on the corner of the main road, this is The Black Bull and is tucked away down a side street bitnis signed posted from the main cross roads. Can't wait to go back and try a Sunday roast!

A fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. new winter menu available with all the winter warmers. Entertainment a plenty, live bands and tributes every Saturday, karaoke, quizzes... it’s got the lot!
Popped into our old local The Nightingale since moving away for an impromptu lunch. Kieran the landlord was welcoming as ever & I had the cheese & ham wrap with chips & salad. Quick service, very tasty fresh food, refreshing cider & all in all miss this place a lot. Can’t fault this place at all.

Typical English country pub.
Located in Poundon, six miles outside Bicester, this small, historic pub offers very good food, a reasonably-priced bottle of merlot, a fireplace, plenty of parking, and attentive service. My husband and I have eaten here six times during two vacations in near-by Godington in the last year. We make reservations, but a couple of times were the only diners, though there are always a few locals at the bar (not at all unruly in our experience as opposed to a previous review). The atmosphere is comfortable, “almost” romantic, with only six or so tables with good spacing for private conversation. Our favorite is next to the fireplace. Now, most importantly, the food. They apparently have a very competent chef. Every meal we had was delicious, not gourmet and doesn’t pretend to be, but very good. Soup of the day, parsnip one trip and pea soup next trip, were delicious. Chicken dishes for me and rib-eye steak for husband were our usuals, always good, and with potatoes and vegetables. Sunday roast with pork, beef, or chicken roasts (we got all three) and Yorkshire pudding and veges was again, excellent. We’ve never had room for dessert. We spend several weeks a year in the English country-side, and to find a comfortable pub with reliably good food is a treasure to us.Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are pleased that you have enjoyed your visits to us. We are very lucky to have James ( the chef ) & if I say so myself, he is a very good chef. We hope that you will visit us when you are next in England.

Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here today. I had a Gammon and Brie panini with a side of very good chunky chips, my partner had a chicken and bacon sandwich and chunky chips. We also had large coffees. Everything was very good and we had the bonus of sitting outside as it was a sunny day. Staff pleasant and efficient. The bill was £17 which was good value. Not a massive menu but should be something there for everyone. I have also had breakfast here in the past and the food is a very good standard. Well worth a visit and there is free parking right outside.

In a town well-served by all manner of off-the-shelf, pre-packaged formula coffee & snacks shops, a small detour off the Market Square into Crown Walk will bring you this amazing find.Real, personally prepared, truly fresh food, lovingly served by excellent friendly staff, spotlessly clean and evidently well looked after, you really cannot fault this place.
