We had breakfast here. More food on the floor than the tables. Very messy. Food was average it was just the mess that spoiled it.

We are a fully licensed tapas bar, all homemade food with daily specials, Spanish style drinking cave! So try something new with friends and loved ones x
We were holidaying in the area and celebrating our anniversary with friends and decided to visit based on the excellent Tripadvisor reviews. Lou and her staff are very welcoming, the tapas dishes are excellent and when we thought the best bit was over, we then ordered dessert which was fantastic ! Thanks for a memorable lunch :)

Fabulous couldn't fault a thing. Lovely chilled out atmosphere, sat in the beautifully kept garden with a wine. Very well mannered n sociable waitress came and took our order. Ate inside spotlessly clean as always. Burgers arrived couldn't have been better best I've had for a long time. A really top night for a cheeky date night. Would highly recommend.

Fancy a 'proper' cup of tea and a big slice of our famous courgette cake whilst you relax in the big comfy sofas by the log burning stove? Or, a jug of Pimms to share with friends under a parasol in the new outdoor area? Are you feeling peckish? How about
Here for lunch on a rather wet day, the warm, busy atmosphere was most welcoming.Staff could not have been more courteous, forgiving and cheerful when it transpired we had parked blocking one of the routes in the car park (vehicle hastily moved to a proper position!). Excellent soup, tasty brown bread rolls and delicious cakes (huge portions!), all went very well with coffees and hot chocolate. Managed to pile up some attractive gifts in the shop on the way out . . . Now to find an excuse to come again!

The Duncombe Arms Pub is a delightful setting in which to enjoy a drink, some lovely food and a chat. Youâll have the ambience of a roaring log fire and enjoy choosing from a great range of beers, a varied and interesting selection of wines and all your f
Saturday lunch with friends, and someone had recommended the Duncombe Arms. What a find. A lovely building, beautifully decorated. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The food was lovely. We mixed between brunch menu and lunch menu, resulting in odd combinations, but that didnât matter. Delicious. Highly recommended.

We're a well established 4 generation family run restaurant and pub, who are passionate about serving good beer with tasty food. Our portions are generous but most importantly full of flavour.
Ate here as a couple after a long day at Alton towers. Seems to be a lovely, atmospheric pub, but unfortunately let down by the extremely slow service! Hubby and I ordered burgers, which were pleasant, but they took nearly 40 minutes! There was only one other couple in the dining area when we arrived (another couple entered and were seated just before our food arrived). The waitress, although pleasant, was on her phone in the corner for most of the time, and looked thoroughly bored. Food was ok, but arrived on a "trendy"? stainless steel dustbin lid (?!) which actually made it very difficult to use the cutlery supplied with it, as the lip of the "plate" (lid) was very high. All in all, an ok meal but we wouldn't go back, not least for the delay in the service.

We are a family-friendly, traditional 16th century pub and restaurant with a contemporary twist situated near Alton Towers and on the very edge of the Peak District. Recently under new ownership and re-furbished to a very high standard, we hope the welcom
Loved this little place on our way back from Alton towers & wished we had our dinner there the day before rather than stay at the hotel at Alton towers at the secret garden restaurant.

A 1700 built coaching inn, situated on the high street in Alton, Staffordshire. We specialise in stone baked pizza's, steaks, craft beers and live music. Our recently refurbished restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere with a cosy log burner and comfy seat
Needed a break from the food at Alton Towers and read the reviews, decided to ignore the negativity and very glad I did too!Food was fantastic, service attentive (even though we were in the upstairs room), and the atmosphere was really positive from all the staff. If you are staying at Alton Towers and need a break from chips, chips and more chips then I cannot recommend the Bulls Head highly enough. And if you like chips, well they do them too!

The Yeaveley Arms stands proud in the centre of the village of Yeaveley opposite the village church. Taken over by three local guys in August 2017 who aimed to bring the pub back to life after it being closed and left dormant for four years! Yeaveley Arms
This was our first time here. I have to say on a rainy day itâs a terrible journey to get here ,but thatâs no fault of the pub We were seated very quickly drinks order taken. We settled for the traditional Sunday Lunch. Although the place was not full we had to wait 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Now thereâs waiting and thereâs waiting ,I do feel this was a bit extreme, five minutes before the food arrived the waitress told us our food was on the wayThe meal was very good the beef tender the veg still had a bite. All in all a very pleasant atmosphere ,friendly staff just donât be in a hurry . Yes we would call again
