scammers going on in and around the bridge so be careful. the most popular thing to do here is stand in the middle of the bridge on both sides and angle wise for great photographs

Rode with a local on his motorbike to this bridge..is amazing at night but also holds sad stories of local young people often jump off and suicide so sad but is a very unique feture to visit...cars and bikes can park briefly for photos and lovers abound hefe for kisses etc

Paid $20,000 pesos to go here in a moto-taxi, round trip with wait, walk across the bridge and view the info about the bridge, as well as look underneath... I went ahead and paid extra to have him take me into Sucre...cute little town...happened to be where the driver lived, so I got the whole story....loved it....my driver knew a lot about the history and we stopped several times for different photo ops. Only takes about 10 minutes( with stops for pics) to walk across. Found the story about the engineer pretty interesting and his tie to the Brooklyn Bridge...great.

I have been traveling to Colombia for the past 30 years and for the past 4 years living in Medellin. I have traveled and explored just about every area, every city and even more numerous small pueblos in Colombia than I can count. I have the time, the resources, the passion and the experience to understand reasonable expectations when it comes to Colombian hotels, hostels, restaurants, bars, activities, things to do and see and tours. I am pleased to provide this review of the Puente Real De Calicanto. Just a short walk from the main square/plaza or in my case a quick 2 minute drive. I love old things, old buildings, old structures and walking this bridge just brings back some recollections of it's history during the century's. Absolutely you must visit as it is a great place to take some great photos. I am sure that you will enjoy it as much as I did.
