Like many breweries, they really only have a limited menu so we just enjoyed a couple of flights of samples before heading out for dinner. Enjoyed all that I tried, but I wish I knew about the Dill beer. It was very interesting and good.

drove from kansas city after reading about this place and it was worth the trip. between the wife and i we tried 9 different brews without disappointment, the hazy, stout and flagship beers are the best, the servers never stop so the wait is minimal even with a packed house. this place has a neighborhood bar feel, even tho on the outskirts in a strip mall. met friendly people there and will definitely be back

Bolo Beer Co

What an awesome find, tucked away off the main road among both commercial and residential properties. So glad the front desk clerk at Niobrara Lodge mentioned it or we never would have known about it. This brewery would be at home in any larger town or city. I’ll refer to it as a brewpub but I actually don’t even know if they also serve food because we had already had a big dinner elsewhere and were just coming to hang out over a couple of beers. I had the smoked rye ale which was great, and then the “perky blonde” pale ale that had a coffee flavor - so cool and unusual to get a full flavored coffee taste in a pale ale, something normally found only in darker, heavier beers like porters and stouts - the coffee taste in a lighter beer was interesting and made the “perky blonde” a nice choice for an after dinner beer on a late spring evening. Bolo has a nice seating area out back with adirondack chairs, a fire pit or two, and a grassy area set up with a cornhole/beanbag game. A couple local families had their kids running around back there, which initially seemed inappropriate for a beer garden but then I realized it was actually pretty cool that a brewpub would be family-friendly and it added to the nice feeling of a local small-town hangout; I almost felt like I was at someone’s backyard barbecue. I happened to be on a road trip with a buddy but if I was with my family it would be great to know I could bring the kids. This was a weeknight though, if it was a weekend night it might not be as appropriate.

This is a really nice establishment not far off the Lincoln, NE to Marysville, KS bike trail. I'm a bit of a beer connoisseur and typical go for IPA's, but there is a Porter here that is truly outstanding. And, they have over a dozen on tap which is better than average for certain. Nice and clean restrooms and they have a small patio when the weather is decent. I make it a stop while biking so I don't lose too much weight . . .
