Teresopolis being a tourist destination that is an hour and half from Rio de Janeiro can boast of many quality self-service restaurants but Varieta stands out among them because of the variety of dishes they make available at all hours during lunch and dinner. Most places start to run out of choices when it closing time approaches but Varieta consistently resupplies the buffet table so that you don't feel like you are eating left-overs. Besides the large buffet dishes, there is also a section for freshly made sushi as well as a barbeque counter where you can order cuts of chicken, beef or pork in the portions according to your appetite. Upon entering, an attendant will hand the patron a plastic card will be used to keep tabs of what is consumed. After plating your food, go to the counter with the scales where they will weigh the food and scan the plastic card. After sitting down, a waiter will ask you for your beverage of choice, note the number on the plastic card. If you go for dessert, take the plate to the scale counter and present the plastic card. Coffee is complimentary. When done, take the plastic card to the cashier to pay for your meal.

A sua Beer House em Teresópolis. Almoço executivo, 10 torneiras de chopp artesanal, cervejas em garrafa, lanches, e muito mais.
I'm always on the lookout for places to go that have a good selection of beer and good food. Confraria do Chopp, without question, has both. They have a fine selection of beers on tap (usually 10), plus a vast selection of bottles from all over the world in their refrigerators including some of the best of the best that Brazil has to offer. The food selection, while not a great variety, is excellent. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners who gave me a nice tour of the place. It's also important to note that they have a beer making class each month and you get to bottle your beer and take it home. A highly recommended stop on the Teresopolis beer tour and very competitive with the other places price-wise.Obrigado pela sua visita, a equipe Confraria do Chopp, aguarda seu retorno.

This restaurant is more than 110 years old and, if the records are correct, has been in service sice 1912. "Any business that survives this long must be good!" - I thought. My wife and I went there for lunch earlier today and came out really disappointed. The food tastes like styrofoam (not that I have ever eaten styrofoam) but it just didn't taste lke breaded parmgiana style beef. Fries are of pre-fried variety (tasteless) and the entrees looked dated. In short, take a picture inside and go eat elsewhere.

This was our first visit to Don Phillipe. By 9pm the place was packed and there is no parking except in the street outside and this was already full at 7pm. Teresopolis is much safe than Rio but even so it is not a good idea to be wandering the city late at night so a taxi would be our recommended mode of transport. My wife and I opted for the house specialty which is a flambeed cheese and spaghetti dish prepared by the chef at your table. You will definitely need to like cheese but if you do, you will love this. A starter of toast with pesto sauce is included with this dish. Afterward, since everyone else in the restaurant was ordering pizza, we decided to share a small one between us. The quality was excellent and the choices varied. No wonder the pizzas are so popular here. The base is slightly softer than at Manjericao (house of pizza) but the fillings are more generous. After this we were truly stuffed but still Monica managed to force down a desert! The wine prices are very reasonable yet only ourselves and one other table ordered. Washing down food of this quality with Coke or guarana degrades the taste and is almost an insult to the chef. Please people, drink wine or water with your meal. The service was excellent even for a packed restaurant on Saturday night and as this was our first visit the head waiter took time to explain a little about the food and history.Nothing to do with the food or restaurant, but what also pleased us was that everyone, including the large parties with children, were all so smartly dressed. Mostly we see restaurant clients here dressed like theyâve just come out of the garden or a trip to the supermarket. Lovely to see.Thoroughly recommended.

Restaurante, Pub, Cervejaria. O Vagão Beer & Food conta com um cardápio deversificado com qualidade além de ser tematizado com um vagão original.
Dozens of beer labels, many of them exclusively found at this place, combined with creative appetizers. They just remodelled a train wagon and placed it in a very central spot in Teresopolis. Very good Menu and a cozy place for couples.Beer prices are between moderate to expensive, but you may also find other drinks very well prepared. Their pizza is not the best option, though. Good for couples. Large groups will not seat well, due to limited space.

The restaurant has a simple taste food, as it is your grandmother doing your prefered food, but you have to pay too much for it. As it uses simple ingredients, it shouldn t cost so much. The service too is a little confusing and you have to wait much for your food, as again there isn t nothing elaborate for justify the waiting. For this price, you can find a more sofisticated rest. or the same simple food for less money

This place has a regional cuisine (mineira) which is delicious. It offers chicken, pork, beef, eggs, farofas, as well as rice, beans, polenta and salads. The dessert menu is huge... Do not forget to have a taste of one (or more) of the deliciously flavored cachaças!!!Hi! Thank you! You are always welcome in our house! :)

ParaÃso da Serra has an excellent buffet, with pizza rodizio and other great foods. The lunch buffet is very rich, and Wednesdays and Saturdays there is feijoada in the buffet. Try the crispy shrimp with salad or with rice. Their desserts are also first class. Not to be missed.
