If you are not a guest to their "Pousada" you can rent chairs/umbrellas for day use using their bar. Good seafood ceviche however a bit overpriced. During peak season you see all pretty people there with their latest bikinis drinking champagne... Kinda shocking for the "hippie" reality of Caraiva. Right after New Years these tourists are gone and the "regular" tourists start showing up sporting their "genuine" energies...

Satu beach club is a restaurant at Satu Beach (CaraÃva - Bahia). They offer a very relaxed and friendly experience through their rugs and cushions. There is a big tree there, which provides an amazing shed. You can spend the day laying under the tree, having fresh fruits juices, admiring the beach and having a deep in the ocean whenever you please. They have a minimum consumption of BR$ 150 (itâs quite fair once the beach is really remote). The only reason I didnât give a 5 was because they have quite limited options for vegetarians.

During three weeks in Brasil this was the best meal we had. Super fresh sea food cooked to perfection with care. Do not miss when in Caraiva!

I just had the best fish and shrimp moqueca of my life - and had quite a few around Brazil. The drinks and appetizers are awesome as well, served by the most friendly people of Caraiva. A must go!

Tasty homemade food. Good variety of dishes - saladas, different options of meat, juices, desserts. Pay by kilo (after serving, weigh your plate and pay for the amount you have taken). Worth trying and they have delivery, in case one day you are too tired to leave your inn.

Very lovely restaurant for vegetarian lunch. The owners don't speak English, but were very friendly. We just nodded to whatever this lady said and she disappeared into the kitchen cooking. We sat down and looked at the menu, not knowing what we have agreed to. Then I suddenly remembered they have a "daily special" for a good price so I guessed we must have ordered that. We ordered some juice and our food soon arrived. It was definitely one of the best vegetarian food I have ever had! Totally changed my views on vegetarian food. Not sure what exactly the food was, but there were some yummy fried rice, beans stew, veggie lasagne and salad. Whatever they were, they were really really good with a very reasonable price. Absolutely love it. The restaurant is only opened in the day time and has a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. The owners (or one of them) are local artists and the place is also their studio. There were lots of lovely paintings which I believed were for sale too.

I love eggplant and this seafood dish was a first and DELICIOUS. My boyfriend enjoyed the lobster risotto with huge pieces of lobster. This restaurant was right outside our pousada.

Delicious food, cold beer, good service and great atmosphere. Best place to go for a bite by the river. I recommend you try one of their home made foccacia bread sandwiches.

Food in Caraiva is very pricey. Here you can get a PF (set menu) for R $25-32 depending on what you choose: veggies, chicken or fish.I got the grilled fish. It came with rice, very tasty farofa (with banana), beans and a fresh salad. It was a rather big portion which I managed to eat alone being quite hungry.I ended up paying R$42 including a soft drink and 10% service taxes. So not cheap, but okay for Caraiva standards.Friendly service.I would go back.
