Sambhar is a beautiful town located 75 km from Pink city of Rajasthan towards Ajmer/Kishangarh, There is a diversion after 30 km from Ajmer national highway and turn right to travel another 30 km fo Sambhar after passing through few villages. The main visiting site for travellers is Sambhar Salt lake. Other important landmarks are the Sakahmbhari Devi temple which is a deity of the Rajput clan Chauhans associated with medieval times and local Sambhar town. The place is world-renowned for its migratory bird's flamingos which travel from central Asia to Sambhar salt lake every year. It is recommended to stay in a luxury tented resort near the lake to experience natural surroundings for overnight and walking excursions to nearby villages to understand the daily lifestyle of Indian rural people, the medieval temple of Sakhambhari Devi, and photography. Sambhar is having a typical Indian heritage town featured in many Bollywood movies and music video shoots. Travelers can use Sambhar as a base to visit Pushkar, Ajmer, and other heritage places including Roopangarh and Kuchaman. #travelwithpathik

What a wonderful experience - beautifully and authentically appointed in Art Deco style. Our suite overlooked the lake from the balcony and we were looked after like never before by lovely palace staff. We took the walk in the estate and were treated to our own personal bonfire and sundowners overlooking the lake at sunset. The pool and surrounds are stunning. The food was authentic and very good with options that avoided fiery chilli. Wonderful stay - unreservedly recommend

We were 3 families and stayed there for 2 nights. Below are some points which I really liked about the property - Rooms are spacious enough and well maintained - breakfast and main course dinner was really good. Specially , buffet layout in Garden restaurant With angithi - Horse riding experience within the property is very nice - walk around property With various fountains, canals, Private lake makes it more exciting - Lal Maas was really good and a must have The only thing which was annoying was that I have a 1 year old baby with me so I have ordered boiled egg in the evening snack and Daal Khichdi in dinner for which they charged me. Usually , in good properties they don’t charge for kids as kids can’t eat normal food which we adults order. Same feedback was even given to their F& B manager Mr. Shekhawat and I hope other guests don’t face the issue as it is all about taking care of your needs and make you feel special. But, over all a must visit property if you are visiting jodhpur.
