Paddle your way through the lush Jamaican countryside on this scenic river.
When looking for a taxi in Jamaica...look no further... Wayne is your man! But... not only do you get a safe, and reliable driver...you also get a tour guide, information on the local to do’s, and more importantly a friend.. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed his knowledge of the beautiful country and what it has to offer, but he will custom the ride to meet your desires.. we took a trip to Mayfields falls in the mountains (which we heard not many drivers will go into) to a wonderful waterfall of natural mineral water, and he showed us the local plants that have natural healing and medicinal purposes that the locals use. We took a wonderful trip to Negril and had an amazing day on 7 mile beach at a local bar and went parasailing and he watched our stuff!! Very trustworthy!! I really enjoyed him not only as a taxi driver... but as a new friend...my only qualm would be... on our ride to go to the airport for our trek home...I requested to go back to Negril... he instead brought us to the airport with a big hug,and a text the next morning to see that we made it home safely.. Wayne if you read this... Thank you.. we will be back, and only call you! One love my friend ❤️

Long Bay, in the northeast (not to be confused with another Long Bay in the southwest), has one of the most dramatic settings in Jamaica. The aptly named bay is a crescent with rose-coloured sand, deep turquoise waters, and breezes pushing the waves forcefully ashore. This is one of the most consistent surf spots on the island, although swimmers should beware of the bay's dangerous undertow. Canoes are drawn up on the beach with fishing nets drying beside them and you may even be able to hire a fisherman to take you out in his canoe. Long Bay is perfect for budget travellers seeking to ease into a life of leisure in a fishing village that's untouched by mass tourism.

Riverside Garden Estate, perfect for weddings, events, and weekend getaways. Villa Apartments, Walkthrough Gardens, and River Access.
Bamboo rafting, limestone foot massage, knowledgeable local information. Tremaine shared his love of the river and area with us. We enjoyed the lime on our sugar cane, the citrus leaf, the elephant leaves, and his general goodwill.

Enough mangrove trees, wild crocodiles and tropical plants to excite even the most stubborn of imaginations.
This was one of the best days of my life. If you are in Jamaica and you don't take this trip or you do it with someone besides Captain Dennis you are just plain stupid! After a great boat trip up the coast where he spent extra time and effort to make sure we saw dolphins he took us up the river and knew great places to look for crocodiles. He has a phenomenal eye. After going back down the river we stopped at his secluded picnic spot on a deserted beach and he cooked us an absolutely extraordinary meal. I consider myself a foody and this was one of the top 3 meals I have ever eaten in my life: warm crab and hot sauce served on plantain leaves, creole lobster, grilled lobster with jerk sauce, cole slaw, red beans and rice and as much rum and coke, vodka and ginger beer and vodka and ting and red stripe as we could drink. I have eaten seafood all over the world and this meal was one of best I have ever eaten anywhere, anytime, anyplace. And I haven't even begun to tell you about the spectacular secluded beach. Absolutely incredible from start to finish. But this guy isn't just a phenomenal cook, he is an extremely skilled boat captain. Our ride back was through a very rough sea with 6 foot waves as the wind had kicked up to about 40 mph while we were out. I know a little bit about sailing and handling small boats and what this guy did to make the ride as smooth as possible was absolutely first rate. This experience is an absolute MUST DO, and a phenomenal value at the price of $120 per person. Its the second time I have done it and it was even better the second time than the first.

this is a half day tour is a fantastic way to get to grips with some of Jamaica's picture perfect waterways. a laid back spot hidden in lust vegetation, before going on the raft you get the chance to look round the herb gardens and sourveigner shops, you get your raftsman who helps you aboard your bamboo raft. and you sail down the lazy river, and you just listen to the birds singing for 3 miles our raftsman had been doing this for 40 years

Half Moon Bay is a hidden gem. Nestled back off of the road with its own private beach and island. Andrew and his family have carved out a paradise. It also has a great house on the property, along with a bar restaurant and cottages

Absolutely enjoyed the bamboo raft ride down the river, taking in the views of the hills and mountains and listening to the river running over the rocks. Our captain Louis was awesome - absolutely recommend booking with him - call (876) 892-3990!
